The only experience I really have of an Apple store/online release was the intel Imacs, and the Bullring Birmingham store didn't get them until a week and a half after the online store.

Have they released things simultaneously before though online and in store?

Nope. The retail teams find out when we do, and usually get the products within a few days, if the its as "Now Shipping". I assume the flagship stores get more of a product and faster.
