I have a Mid-2010 Macbook that I cannot get to charge. Here's the brief history: - Probably about a year ago I nearly had a fire when the laptop was charging. I replaced the MagSafe board as it would get very hot and aside from melted and charred plastic around the MagSafe port everything worked fine for quite a while. - A couple of weeks ago, the laptop stopped charging. The power status is that the battery is not charging and that the laptop is running off of AC power. - I reset the SMC and NVRAM to no effect. - Multiple different chargers made no difference. - The Apple Hardware Test did not indicate any problems. - The battery status had been for a while that it should be replaced and the battery life was about 45 minutes, so I replaced the battery but to no effect. - I replaced the logic board and again, no change. My understanding was that the charging circuitry was in the logic board, but do you think it could just be that the new MagSafe board has gone bad? Any other suggestions?
