I don't know how they allow this to happen. I just don't. They should be on display with HOARDS of them in the back. Anyone who touches one and wants one should be able to leave with one. There should be clapping and them handing them out like Jesus did with bread to his disciples! :D:p

I was told by several Apple employees and over the phone that I could order at midnight and pick up in store Friday morning. Obviously not the case and Im in California, a few hundred miles from Cupertino. Not a good sign. People in other countries were told they would be in-store today and they are not. Id order online if you want one.

How's the store in Cap3000 ? I left St Laurent right after it opened and never got to visit it.

Maybe Apple shouldn't advertise the 10th as available if it's not available to purchase in the store on the 10th. Maybe just saying it's available for pre-order is a better way to go and is more technically accurate and responsible.

Did Apple ever say the 10th? In the US, the page just said 'Coming Soon'.
Maybe in the announcement?

They advertised it as SHIPPING on 04/10. That's a slight difference in terminology that most people missed.

On their website they say shipping 4/10... but in reality its shipping 4/22.

Oh ok, thank you! I ordered it online and paid an additional $10. It should get here on the 16-20th of this month. I'll check stores here in Austin, Texas this morning and report.

Either way you look at it the statement is misleading and not clear to many people. This is Apple. People will line up for whatever product they release no matter what day they release it so why use cagey language.

I'm gonna check the Apple Store but I'm not expecting it to be available in the Apple Store. If it doesn't turn out to be available in the Apple Store I will just swap out...

I had to go back and look at the keynote and you are correct

That was never in dispute. However, that language creates unrealistic expectations from the buying public. Apple doesn't need to be cagey about releases. People will line up for them. They should be thankful for that rather than chastise people who want to spend thousands of dollars yearly on Apple products. I've never seen anyone inline scalping for macs. That is an iPhone problem only.

Reading Store in UK - I'm in it now

No stock. No Demo. No idea when they are getting them.

I think them saying "available" April 10th would have been "cagey". Shipping means just that, shipping. It doesn't mean it's in stores.

But it isn't shipping today. It's shipping in 3-4 weeks...

:(

That's the BTO option and those always take longer, not surprised there.
