Just ordered a base RMBP with 16gb. Now the waiting begins. Estimated delivery date is July 12-18th

My 2.3/16GB RMBP shipped out last night a full day before the 5-7 shipping promise. I'm kinda bummed the delivery is next Mon. b/c that means it's probably going to arrive at the local hub Friday after the trucks have already gone out. So it's going to be sitting in a truck cab all weekend just miles from my house. Tragic.

Same base+16 shipped overnight. Any idea if they do Saturday delivery? I suspect it'd be local by then
Can't you call Fedex and intercept it somehow. That situation sounds unbearable to me
I just got a mail that my order of the back to school gift card was delayed btw, probaby so it can fit the same shipment as the mac.

Mine shipped, it's in SHANGHAI CN right now with FedEx showing Mon 18 for delivery. Any chance it could be delivery tomorrow? I think I saw a post from someone who got it overnight? (I am in Ohio)

Unlikely but possible. Most of you guys with shipments showing Monday as the delivery date will most likely get it on Monday.
Mine shows Monday as well. Had expedited shipping so thought it should arrive before Monday but guess not.

Depressingly no. In situations like this FedEx won't unload it from the trailer until Sunday night. If it's still on the trailer FedEx absolutely won't let you p/u. If it was unloaded and inside the hub then maybe Apple could help me get them to release it b/f first delivery attempt.
Now the good news is that I believe my MBP is on FX Flight 28 which is a one-stop flight through Anchorage to Memphis. Sooo... I'm still putting some hope out that it could be delivered tomorrow.
Ugh... ordered 4 hours after keynote and they still have not shipped it!! Still building it I guess
Flightaware.com and flightstats.com. If your Mac ships from Shanghai the airport code is PVG. Anchorage is ANC. (All flights go through there b/c that is where customs is located).
