yeah, best buys are taking up stocks, but i only find basic models there, all models are 8gb
off topic: i'd hate to have to wait until, at most, july 31st to recieve mine..

Bah! Received an e-mail from the online apple store while I was sleeping, thought it was an order update, turned out to just be a questionnaire.
6/13 3-4 weeker here from Japan. A lot of the 6/13 non-US countries are getting theirs except for japan
Hopefully I don't get screwed over then because my configuration is with a JPN keyboard if Japan is getting delayed.... But then again I'm in the US.

MBPR came today at 2:30pm. I'm beyond surprised, all I can say is this is such an AWESOME upgrade from a 2006 machine. Also did anyone else get free next day shipping? I only had gotten my shipping confirmation yesterday and was expecting a delivery by friday since I was in the 2-3 weeks 2nd-9th of july group.

Dang, that's right around the exact time I placed my order too, so we were within minutes of each other (I ordered at 9:30 EDT). Unfortunately mine is still in processing though, so apparently I'm paying for those extra 7 minutes.... Oh well, it will be interesting to see how quickly yours arrives now that it's preparing for shipping; sounds like you have a good chance of having yours before the weekend.

Well... I'll summarize my last impression of the spreadsheet:
11th orders are all but gone, even some of the top end ssd's are finally going out the door.
12th orders are getting sent off at a good rate, but there's still a lot to go.
13th orders have seen some sporadic activity, and I'm thinking quite a few will ship by the end of the weekend.
>13 still only have a lucky few line cutters.
I'm still processing on my 13th order.
I ordered at 5pm PDT from California on the 11th, and mine is still 'preparing for shipment'. It has been saying that since yesterday morning.
Well I'm glad to be finally done with this thread. Mine arrived today, beautiful machine. Good luck to all that are waiting. I know how it feels as I was a very late 7-10 day order and was starting to see 2-3 weekers ship before mine. Once it ships it is fast. FedEx beat their estimate by 2 days and I ended up getting it on the first day of Apples original estimate.
I have been the owner of many a 500$ windows laptop. I was always satisfied with them... Until my eyes were opened by the purchase of my new iPad with retina screen.
Between my happiness with my iPhone, the amazing screens on both the iPhone, and iPad, and my gradual entrance into the apple Eco system (household has 3 apple tvs, 4 iPads and 4 iPhones), I decided that I wanted a pc that was as much of a pleasure to use as my other apple devices.
Oh, and I just bought my wife a Samsung laptop with solid state drive, for almost 2 grand, and the screen made my eyes bleed.
I can't wait for my new rmbp...
Probably less than 1% of shipments. Only people who have it will come online and complain about it, which is why it seems more than it is.
Beware of ordering from BestBuy.com for in-store pickup. The website will tell you that the store has it in stock and that you can pick it up today, but more than likely you won't be able to. I confirmed with an employee that they were out of stock despite what the website said, and was told that it could take a day or up to a week to get the order fulfilled.
