I think I have a backup from 6.30pm European time yesterday, if The spreadsheet owner wants it, then send me a PM

yessssssss!!

finally have shipment and a tracking number with TNT!

I ordered my 2.3/16/256 from the Australian Edu Store at about 9pm AEST on the 12th, originally saying shipment July 2nd to July 6th (2-3 weeks).

Went to preparing for shipment last night basically 2 weeks to hour since the order.

Now the home street of the waiting game...

Or set ip up on Google. protect it and ask who needs access on user. I just registered here and will ad my username to to the sheet. Was a hell of an interesting spreadsheet to do some datamining. :)

Did apple reserve or even withdraw the money from your VISA/MC before shipping?
I'm a bit puzzled as mine is shipped, but they did neither and my invoice says (in SEK):

Payment Methods
28.955,00 kr charged to Visa XXXXXXXXXXXX1234
For a total of 28.955,00 kr

Mine has also already been shipped (don't have a carrier yet) but they haven't withdraw my money yet as it is 21.108,00 kr ;)

it's back! ...mostly

pretty much all the names are xiaolong, and the formatting's wrecked.

guy who did this probably doesn't get out much...

who actually made the spreadsheet? He has my condolences. why doesn't he change the security settings now and make it so they can't mess with it anymore?

Mine is now preparing for shipment since 18 hours.

I'm from Germany and my merging destination is Prag so where will the plan land once it's shipped? Frankfurt?
I searched FlightAware top to bottom but couldn't find a cargo plan from Shanghai to Frankfurt or Prag.

Primarily use it for work - running Windows 7 in Fusion to give presentations in Office PowerPoint... Occasionally play some games in boot camp. Might start doing a little more Flash/html5 programming.

I think it's silly to settle for the 8GB for several reasons.

1. For something you're going to have years, what's the big deal over a couple weeks of waiting? If you wait even a month, in six months it won't even have mattered and you'll be glad you had the 16GB for the next several reasons.

2. If you plan on reselling after two years, the 16GB model will keep its resale value much better than the 8GB.

3. If you plan on keeping it 3+ years, you will likely run into situations where 16GB will help greatly. Remember, a great barometer is photography. I have a 36mp camera, and 8GB wasn't cutting it anymore on my iMac. 16GB took care of that problem.

4. Based on your usage, it sounds like you could be the kind of guy that may get into something that will benefit in the future.

Disagree 100%. As someone who has bought and sold nearly every MBP model and a bunch of PowerBooks before that, the best resale value (measured as a percent) is preserved by going with the low-end stock configurations. The reason is very simple: dilution. When people are looking at used machines, one above-average spec doesn't count for a lot when all the other specs (CPU, GPU, etc.) are X generations out of date.

I have a replacement for the spreadsheet just about done. It is a bit rough around the edges right now, but will be working on it over the next few days.

I will be up for another 20 minutes. If you would like to test it out, send me a private message. If I don't respond, that means you will have to wait till morning to try it out.

I will give up the URL publicly tomorrow morning, I am just tired and don't like to launch things before going to bed :D

Update: Off to bed, I will post the URL for everyone tomorrow morning.

Interesting yours is to be delivered on Monday, mine is this Friday... Must be slightly more logistically difficult to get to Sweden?

----------

Also I bought the same specs as you, which makes sense being grouped together

As least it makes me feel more at ease knowing my new born is not snuggled up alone in Kazakhstan but has company and is probably doing ok...

Mine, I think, is still stuck in Shanghai for almost 24 hours, I'm guessing/hoping it is going out on the TNT Thursday 7.20am flight from Shanghai to Liege, to arrive 1.40pm tomorrow.

Probably a chance a few more European TNT deliveries will be prepared to go on there, in the next few hours.

It's been almost 48 hours for me. Still stuck in Shanghai. No way I can track the shipment either. Yeah I hope so. Doesn't care if it's TNT or UPS, as long as its gets on a plane here to Sweden.

Europe ftw!

Does anyone know where a mini-displayport -> DVI adapter and rMBP would be merged? My guess is in the Netherlands, but Im not sure. I will not receive tracking number until they are merged, and its driving me mad not knowing whats going on!!!!!

Go to your order page (where you can track your order) and click on the left side of order details (or something like this). On the left side is all your information shown as well as your merging point.

Mine is shipped since 2,5 hours!
According to the Apple tracking page it should arrive at the 5th of july hear in Germany (at first there was 29.06. but this unfortunately change rather quickly :D)
