Me too. I also ordered on the 19th and there were three base models (what I ordered) sitting at my local best buy earlier this afternoon.

I've already got the gift card however. Can someone walk me through how I loose the benefit of the gift card if I purchase from best buy?

They'll cancel the value of the gift card if you cancel your order w/ Apple.

RMBP wait times

Still 3-4 weeks shipping time. Are the delays usually this bad at MacBook launches? I wonder if I should order now or if I'll be able to walk in to a store and walk out in 3-4 weeks' time. I'm leaning toward ordering now just to be safe but what do you all think?

Yeah, I've been charged for the gift card as well as the AppleCare.

(Got myself on the input sheet. Ordered 2012-06-15 23:30 EDT, BTO 2.3/16/256, Edu discount, estimated arrival 7/16-7/20. Hasn't had any updates.)

WTF! Just checked the shipment status page, and the ETA date had been updated from 7/11 to 7/2. Imagine my surprise when I check back 5 minutes later and its back to the 7/11 date... Whats up with that???

I was an original 7-10 dayer, received my rMBP + 16 on the 19th. Had a screen defect and had to return it to Apple HQ. I got estimated 3-4 weeks for a replacement. Just now received a call I was pushed to the front of the line and it should be here in under a week.

I do feel bad for adding one more system to the queue though. I know waiting sucks.

Ordered mine (2.6/16/768) right after the store went online and I'm still "Processing" with 3-5 weeks for shipping. I'm hoping I will get good news like many of you and receive my RMBP early. I called them a few days ago to inquire about arrival time and they upgraded me to 2 day shipping for free, however they had no answers as to when I will receive.

Looks like its back in transit. FDX28 leaves in about an hour. Im guessing this is the flight since the transit time and take off times are soo close.

Not sure why you think a truck is needed.

FDX1449 leaves Memphis for Raleigh every morning at 3:15.
(fdx785 is currently making the same trip)

The Fedex hub at GSO isn't running like anything other than a normal fedex airport
UPS has a ground hub there but its not significant to Fedex yet.

How did you figure this info out? Mine was on the FDX28 as well, curious if I could get it by tomorrow as well - live in Rockville, MD (just outside of DC).

Im still trying to figure that one out. I been asking this question all day. I just got lucky by searching flight aware for FDX28.

Things that keep me patient while I wait for Retina Macbook to move to Preparing To Ship....

Pretending they've held it back to resolve the "screen defects" that seem to keep popping up and that I'm going to get a near perfect Macbook on shipment. My evil inside voice snickers at the ghosting problems that seem to be popping up and convinces my irrational subconscious that its all good, 'cause I'm gonna be getting the Macbook Pro Retina v1.1

I'm still waiting to place my order. Ordering it online is my only option, since I'm getting one with 16GB. Try apple stores if you're getting base models.

Ordered at 12:30 PM EST on 6/12 and have been in "preparing for shipment" since 5:15 PM EST on Monday. Let me see that baby!!!
