Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

Wow my creditcard was just charged for a massive massive amount of money. I had hoped that they would forget about me since they have already shipped it but no...

Even though I still have a few k's on my bank account this hurts me alot. How do you guys cope with the price tag. Or is everyone here rich?

Ah good catch. My spelling is terrible :D RAM is on there, its just listed as memory. I suppose RAM would be a little more obvious, i'll fix it in next update.

in other news, i think my HDD on my Dell StudioXPS is about to ***** the bed.. this sucks considering it's the second HDD.. was hoping to sell this for like $250.

however, maccy should be on its way here soon, no worries. :)

lmao.. you couldn't seriously be hoping to not get charged for a $3k laptop, especially an Apple one? (Nothing against Apple, I actually applaud them for their strict business policies; also, not saying that other companies hand out computers for free..)

anywhooo, i paid for mine with the dividends from my grad party + some old savings bonds laying around. doesn't hurt my pocket, considering i had no money before, nor will i in the future.

I was an original 7-10 dayer, received my rMBP + 16 on the 19th. Had a screen defect and had to return it to Apple HQ. I got estimated 3-4 weeks for a replacement. Just now received a call I was pushed to the front of the line and it should be here in under a week.

I do feel bad for adding one more system to the queue though. I know waiting sucks.

my heart sinks a little more every time, what's worse is when my phone's email alert goes off, i run as fast as i can to my phone, just to read some stupid "so and so have tweets for you" email. it's something different every time. it actually lead me to unsubscribe from every email service i have. :p

It has magically appeared :)

Speaking of things appearing, my RMBP is now in Oakland! Hopefully it goes through sorting before they load the trucks. Since I am having it delivered to my office, the time estimate is 10:30am. However, it still says Friday delivery.

I am trying not to get too excited. I have had times when a shipment got to Oakland, but didn't leave until the next day.

Why not call ye olde Federal Express and drive the 20 min to the distro center?

Would save you from puppy-dogging your door. :p

I'd have to rent a Zipcar, and the bay bridge in the morning isn't exactly fun. Not to mention, I am allergic to going to Oakland lol.

The only date sort that isn't in place right now is the initial estimate. All of the other columns are sortable by clicking on the title.

I need to finish adding some arrows to make it a little clearer that you can sort.

Thank you very much for your detailed reply. It was very informative.

I, personally, never buy anything based on resale. I buy for what I need now, and what I think I will need during expected lifespan. But it is nice to know. I bought my first Mac last fall (iMac 27") and the retina will be my very first MacBook, and actually my first *real* laptop. I've been a desktop PC user my whole life, but my professional photography has got to the point where I need to be mobile, and I also need a second editing station for my assistant. A MBPr fits the bill. I got 16GB for my needs. Period.
 
Anyone had a look at the old spreadsheet lately lol. It seems the kids have become frustrated hehe.
 
Just got back from a day of shopping in the US of A and she came!! I'm now typing on it! So shinny!
