Yeah as far as I'm aware of, its Wednesday the 4th thats the holiday... and thankfully I get mine at the latest the 3rd, so good there. But I don't think Monday is a holiday, at least not in the US.

I believe Sunday is Canada day. Maybe it is observed on Monday....or maybe it is actually Monday.
Under the federal Holidays Act, Canada Day is observed on July 1 unless that date falls on a Sunday, in which case July 2 is the statutory holiday, although celebratory events generally take place on July 1 even though it is not the legal holiday.
Oh I see.... that makes sense. Funny that its so close to ours. I guess countries just like doing that sort of thing in July.
Im in Canada, July 1st Is Canada day so it's a long weekend. And monday is the official day off.

Often Apple ships to Europe through Flextronics. Customer ref is APP. Worth trying.
FDX 28 landed in Anchorage just now. I don't think it continues on to Memphis.
Next flight out of Anchorage to Memphis is FDX 9858 (in about 1 hour) and FDX 48 (in about 3.5 hours). Let's hope that our computers that have been stuck in Alaska get on one of those flights.

Who knows, I don't think it would be Flextronics. But you never know. I think its more likely the put TNT or UPS on it.

This is correct at least for all my past apple purchases that had long shipping delay e.g. iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S, and my two latest rMBP's. I am in the USA btw. I ordered two rMBP's two days apart on the 17th and 19th my card had authorizations for the full amount of the rMBP's with tax. After about 4-5 days the charges dropped off.
Same thing happened with my 3GS a few years back except It was delivered and I was not re charged until 4 days later.

I't can be seent Apple is about done with the 6/13 orders and in the middle of the 6/14 orders.
Entries which haven't updated for a week have a purple date so you can ignore those mostly.
Sorting changed to: 1.GMT order date 2.Shipped? 3.Expected delivery
I orderd on the 14th so I really hope to see my status update to preparing this weekend.
Are there people who know how long it takes to go from shipped to deliverd for The Netherlands? (and countries around maybe)

I ordered the base model 2.3/8/256 on June 23 with the education discount and today status changed to preparing for shipment. About how long does it usually take to change from preparing for shipment to shipped? And how long is transit normally with standard shipping (I am in California if that matters)?
