Went to 'prepared to ship' 8 am eastern time on Friday, shipping notification 1am on Saturday

Same here actually. Ordered a second one around the 24th or 25th and it's preparing for shipment now. I assume you'd have it Thursday or Friday at the latest.

Really depends. Mine took about 15 hours. Could take as long as a few days...

Took mine less than a day to go from preparing to shipped.. but a few unlucky members have taken a week!
So I went into my local Apple store today to pick up a thunderbolt to ethernet dongle for my rMBP and they said they had the base model in stock (which is the one that is on its way to me now) and so I bought the one they had in the store. I will be receiving my 2.3/8gb/256 rMBP on July 2. If anyone wants to take it off my hands, I am not even going to open the packaging. I will also have the 100$ gift card from the one I bought today. send me a private message if interested..I can overnight it upon request.

Mine was like that for only a hour or so. But some people have been there for days.

My Retina just arrived in Oakland, scheduled to arrive on Monday in San Diego. The sad thing is, I am a 20 minute drive away from the OAK airport right now.

My base retina with 16GB upgrade shipped Friday. It's going to arrive on Tuesday. Originally ordered on the 13th.
It's the date it is handed over to the UK carrier, ie: delivered to Apple UK, not yourself.

So this is weird. I live in northern Idaho. About 300 miles from Seattle. And they shipped mine to Memphis from Anchorage!
It just departed Memphis about 10 minutes ago. It's slated for a Monday morning delivery. I'm sure it'll get here, but...that seems a right inefficient path for it to be taking.
