Is it worth calling again? I called this morning and was told that there was a meeting and the guy I spoke with was going to bring up the issue.

I find it hard to believe that Apple is doing anything about this. At this point in time all orders are well within the estimate that we were given. What's worse is that if there truly is an issue with our orders we'll continue to be ignored until we hit the 5week limit before any action is taken by Apple.

So when I called to ask a question about my order they wanted me to provide my name and billing address before they would give me info about my own order. So, I'm not quite sure how they technically can tell you over the phone "I'm looking at Paul's order and you're right about his shipping date". Imagine the lawsuits waiting to happen if customers were able to call in and find out when OTHER PEOPLE'S orders were made and shipped. Honestly, I'm completely dumbfounded that people think Apple should do whatever the customer wants. I know if I found out Apple was just giving out any bit of info about me there would be hell to pay.

The expectations of customers these days is getting more and more ridiculous. What's next? You want Tim Cook's home phone number so you can have a one on one with him about this? Cuz Apple owes that to everybody even though they've been shipping within or earlier than their original quoted delivery times, right??

I'm not going to spell it out for fear of further inundating Apple CSRs, but let's just say they don't need all of that info just to look at corroborating evidence. YOU have to provide the info; not the other way around.

I agree with you. I think we will have a case on the 21st, without the laptops.

I realize they ask to make sure they have the correct person on the phone. I just find it incredibly hard to believe they'll just go and check other people's accounts without them being the one that phoned in. This goes back to a person I know that was let go from a Cell Phone Provider's CSR because he was going into his friends accounts to check up on any promotions they had and made sure they were getting the best deals. The company did an audit and found that those people didn't call in at the times he made changes and they fired him. Every time a CSR goes into somebody's account it leaves a signature. Plus that's a huge breach of privacy. Unless you've got friends in there willing to lose their jobs than I doubt telling them to check other people's orders will go anywhere.

Yeah I'm on the same boat as you, last flight I checked, out shipments correlated with a Fed Ex flight on tuesdat to Memphis, TN don't know where the hell is it now????

Yep, basically the same situation for me still. Last update is still from the 3rd. I'm pretty confident I'll get mine tomorrow though.

Why is Fedex so stupid? My rMBP went from Alaska to Oakland, CA then to Memphis. Now it is on a flight back to Oakland. Such a waste.

Ordered stock on the 21st, still processing.

For some reason, the website won't allow me to upgrade my shipping method. I called Apple and the rep said her system wouldn't permit her to change my shipping either. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have done it three times now without any issue. Again, you are not asking them to provide any info; just telling them something that they can clearly see and thus already know. I think that's a big part of the difference. (Not that my efforts done any good in expediting my order. The universal reaction is, "Hmm that's strange indeed!"

YMMY.

This is why I hate Fedex.

I can't be too mad because the estimated delivery day was always tomorrow, and my laptop shipped 2-3 weeks before it should have anyway... but this is still absurd. At least I know it's definitely on it's way to Memphis right now because of the time it left...

I'm in Toronto and I ordered on the same date as you with the same expected delivery date. I ordered the stock 2.3 tho. I have a feeling yours may go out before mine. I've noticed more 16GB models going out vs stock. I hope we both get ours early ;)

I grabbed a base 512 at square one apple, maybe check there if you're just waiting for a stock?

I am happy with how quickly Apple shipped the computer, I just don't understand why Fedex just lets stuff sit around for long periods of time. I have never had a good experience with them. I much prefer UPS or USPS.

Couldn't agree with you more. Everyone is griping about UPS but I love 'em. They've NEVER been late for me and none of my packages have ever gotten lost. Their quoted estimates are never too far out so you feel that they're doing you a service by delivering early.

and its finally here tomorrow! =D gdluck to you guys still waiting! dont give up, it will be there sooner than u know it!:apple::D

Today my June 15 order went from July 20 delivery to shipped (delivered by July 11) - this was a 2.6/16/512.

Just shipped

Ordered on 6/15, shipping to Las Vegas, NV, status just changed to shipped. Fedex tracking shows that it should be here by the 10th.

Ordered June 15th. 2.3/16/256. Just went to shipped. Fedex estimates it will be here July 10th, three days before Apple's earliest estimate.

I ordered on 06/15 as well and just got an email that the laptop is shipping. Going to San Mateo, CA

2.7/16/512

i've been talking with apple about it as well. if anyone knows or can remember a person who ordered a 2.7/18/768 and are past processing, please let me know.

You mean 2.7/16/768 right? I last wrote in this thread yesterday and was just curious how others were faring in their orders. I suppose I'm lucky then to already be using mine (e.g. using it right now to write this post).

Haven't checked the spreadsheet in a few days, so I don't know if my line was updated. What did you need to know?
