Can you PM me your order number? I'm working with someone in executive relations about this and could use some proof that orders aren't going out in order after all. Throughout this whole thing Apple has been pretty ademant about how they go through the queue but from this thread, that's clearly not the case. I also ordered on the 28th.

Keep us posted on how you make out. I have been very patient since apple told me, and I agreed to it at the time of purchase, they would deliver my 6/16 order of a 2.7/16/512 to the US between 7/12-7/20 and since they aren't late yet, that I'm not mad about.

But seeing orders of the same setup form 6/17 (at least 3 orders), 6/19 (at least 1 order), and 6/20 (at least 1 order) on this page go to "preparing to ship" and then "shipped" with out the slightest bit of movement on my order is starting to get to me.

can you definitely keep us in the loop? the guy I talked to today wouldn't even connect me to a supervisor..

Hello everyone. I've been lurking for a while, but thought id finally join to post my update.

I ordered the base retina mbp (2.3) the evening of the 22nd. My order today changed to preparing for shipment. My estimated delivery is July 23 to the 27th.

I'm guessing FDX90. It could be going to Anchorage first, but I'm assuming Memphis for now.

If it is FDX90, could it be this flight, or do I have my Time zones confused and this was a couple days ago?

or this one?
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX90/history/20120711/1500Z/ZSPD/KMEM
(im actually thinking its the latter, but it still says scheduled, even though I'd think it had left according to the time)

I can predict what Apple will say. If they do hear them out they'll say "Hmmmm that's interesting" and do nothing about it. Or, they'll tell them it's nonsense and say they're going out in order.

It's all futile. Read through the numerous posts from others on here and see that it got them NOWHERE. Lol. I can't stop laughing at how everybody thinks apple owes them something for something so insignificant. Once you receive your macbook within the original estimate you won't even talk about this anymore. It's that insignificant. If you're going on a business trip, well, you knew a while ago when it was scheduled to arrive so don't huff and puff or act surprised if it doesn't arrive before you leave. Gesh........

It's about the principal behind the situation. Apple is claiming they go in the order that the orders were received but that is very clearly not what they're doing. So Apple is basically lying about that. Why? All they have to do is be more transparent about what is going on and a lot of these gripes wouldn't even be happening.

Yeaaaa, Hong Kong dude!!:) I ordered mine on 24/6 and est. delivery is in between 19-25 but it's still processing. Perhaps HK has less order and apple just skip over us:(

Ordered mine 6/13 in Thailand & still waiting. Another user in the Thai forums ordered around the same time from HK and has the laptop already. Maybe it's a random lottery?

I still think the fact that the IDIOT bank declined the charge the first time around cost me my spot in the queue.

----------

I just called and asked about how they are shipping and they said first come first serve and I mentioned your status (I've also seen others) and the rep said that its not possible and that the post is a lie..

awesomeness..

Yeah right, there's what 178 pages of forum posts and counting here, and they're all lies. Hmmm-hm. BS.
Orders are not on a first come first serve basis, who knows why, I am sure it has less to do with pure evilness on Apple's side and more to do with the difficulty in pulling off the just in time production and shipping for so many people in so many countries etc.

Okay. Fair enough. What will all of this accomplish? What will transparency provide in the end? Do you just want to hear them say you're right? It still won't change your order. I mean if you've got the time to keep asking them the same questions than go ahead. I honestly think you're already getting a premium product for a company with premium service. If they actually mess up your order they'll reconcile it. Otherwise I just don't see the point in wasting all this time and energy into this. You already know orders aren't being filled in any certain sequence but you also know they won't do anything about that.

Ordered mine 6/12 in Thailand as well and still processing. On Monday moring my credit card was charged but 3 days later still processing. I called apple and they said I wasn't charged but placed on hold (my bank clearly disagreed) and that it was a first come first serve. Maybe on a country basis...

I'm pretty sure all you have to do is call any bank in advance and they'll set it up where it is not declined. The bank is looking out for your best interests (for once). If I get a $2000+ ONLINE charge on my bank account I want my bank to look at it. If you make so many multigrand purchases on your checking account that you can't be bothered to call in advance (or soon after you complete your purchase), then call your bank and remove all fraud prevention services.

As someone that has had their wallet stolen a couple times in my life, I'm grateful for the bank setting it up where I have to call before I empty my bank account online.

(im actually thinking its the latter, but it still says scheduled, even though I'd think it had left according to the time)

I think that it's the latter because the arrival is stated in stated in Central Daylight Time (unless I'm totally confused as to CDT). According to this:

http://www.flightstats.com/go/Fligh...tNumber=90&departureDate=2012-07-11&x=23&y=15

it may not have left the runway.

that will piss off any remaining people that ordered in the 6/11 - 6/21 range

Picked up a base model from Best Buy 3 weeks ago, ended up returning it. Then picked up a 2nd with bigger storage... ended up returning it. Now, I have finally set my mind on the base model with 16gb upgrade. It is currently "In Transit". Should have it by this Friday. :D

I agree.

There are assembly lines to build the laptops and like getting in the fast/slow lane in a traffic jam, some lanes move faster due to supplies, breakdowns, pissy foremen, etc....

I think apple does process in order, once they check your card for sufficent funds.

Just my 2 cents.

I actually cancelled my order and got a MBA, arriving by next Tuesday. I'll probably get the next rMBP refresh.

Yay.
Finally some movement.
Ordered 12.06.12
Stock 2,3/8/256
3-4 weeks
Estimated delivery 13.07.12 - 19.07.12

Went from "Processing" to "Preparing to ship" now.

There is hope! Hang in there kittens!

Google spreadsheet and wheresmyappleorder.com are updated

I ordered the same config as you, and on the same day (6/16) and I got a UPS tracking number today, with scheduled delivery tomorrow. I initially got an estimate of 7/18-24.

My stock model ordered on June 15th also changed to preparing within the last one or two hours!

rMBP base model ordered via Apple.com on June 19th.

Order went into "Preparing for Shipment" yesterday afternoon.

After 24 hours the status remains the same and the delivery date has increased from the original by 1 week. Essentially, that would mean it would have to sit in preparation for over a week which would be absurd.

2 day shipping, I would think it would be here this week. Otherwise, I will ask for a refund of my measly $15 shipping charge.

Thanks for the update. That's great to hear. My business partner ordered the same config same day as us and his switched over to preparing to ship around 9pm Mountain time and has been on it since. Mine how ever is still processing. but that gives some hope. Was hoping it mine would make it to me before the weekend going into this week, but now I'm thinking they will hit my first day of my estimated delivery range of the 16th-20th.

Thanks for the good news. There might be hope for us yet. :)
