Ordered on 27/6 (2.3/8/256) came today.
Really impressed by it, however tonight while browsing photos in iPhoto (latest version) i got some graphical corruption :

which is a bit of a worry, though it maybe app specific as the corruption was limited to iPhoto. Will keep an eye on it.

Anchorage is a festering turd.
Why the hell did they ever have to send my rMBP over the weekend to Narita? Couldn't they wait for the Sunday evening flight from Shanghai to Memphis?
Why did they have to fly it to Anchorage from Narita? Couldn't they put it on the Narita to Memphis flight?
Why haven't they moved it since it cleared customs at 1:21pm AKDT in Anchorage? Couldn't they put it on any one of four (read, em, FOUR!) flights that went to either Newark or Memphis since then?
FedEx are incompetent morons. I could've had this yesterday or today if they had done their job. Now I won't even see it tomorrow, most likely.

I pray that these cretins at FedEx at least put the damn package on the bloody FX92 instead of the bloody FX94 or FX28 flights. It needs to be in Newark to get to my local delivery depot by 6am so that it can get to my house before the bloody cut-off, otherwise these idiots will hang on to it again for another day.
I still can't get over the fact that they had the package cleared through customs and let four entire flights go without putting the package on it.

Cleared Chinese export customs on the 28th, Shipped out on the evening of the 29th, arrived in Memphis early morning on the 30th, made it to Newark a few hours later, and went out for delivery that very morning. I guess these guys only deal in extremes. Extremely good and efficient, or extremely slow and taking your package on a trip through twenty countries, stopping for days on end in the middle of nowhere.

No, just standard shipping. It seems the 27/28 cutoff made a difference for if your package got out before the weekend.
It should still make it here by Thursday as scheduled, assuming it spends tomorrow getting to Dallas.
Looks like it made it to Dallas sorting facility at 5 am so maybe it could get here today. I just hope before 4 because I have an appointment.
Today's the day!! Looking forward to it. I'm taking the afternoon off just for it. I sold my old MBP the day I ordered it, so I haven't had a computer in about 3 weeks.
My rmbp arrived in the UK yesterday at 1:00 in the morning, cleared customs today at 9:00.

At long last.
Ordered two 2.6/16/512 rMBPs on the 13th through the Education store. One got here on Monday, shortly after 9am, the other was taken on a retarded trip, spent 26 hours in bloody Anchorage, and has arrived. Today will the be a LONG day at work.
The first one was perfect by the way. No ghosting, no color shift, no scratches, no pressure marks, no dead pixels. I spent most of Monday evening and last night testing it. So the first one is a keeper.
I hope this one is the same.That said, I will still write the oft-mentioned tersely worded letter to Apple about the illogical way they handle orders. Someone ordered on the 27th and got their's already. How is that any semblance of first come, first serve?
UPDATE:
Status has changed to "Out for Delivery"
But still no "Delivery Service" or "Tracking Number"
How the heck am I suppose to determine when it will arrive?
