I am absolutely HATING myself for waiting a day before ordering, with the intention of going to the Apple Store to have a look at the RMBP.

One day later, they of course didn't have them in store, and the wait time had slipped to 3-4 weeks.

:(

Exact same thing for me :(

Has saved me quite a lot though as I've gone for base with 16gb ram plus higher ed discount.

Can't wait

I'm kicking myself (kinda). I ordered a base model on the 12th and had a 2-3 week window, but after I found out these machines didn't allow for 3rd party memory upgrades I altered my order and added the 16GB upgrade; this pushed me out to 3-4 wks. It's worth it in the long run but I'd still like to have it in hand now! This will be my first mac. I've just run linux on cheap hardware up until now and I'm frankly tired of it! I still love my linux boxes but I'll let them stay in the data center where they belong.

Oh well, my totally unrealistic, pie in the sky wish is that I get this thing in my hands a full week before the July 12-18 time frame they're quoting me... I can dream...

Went to bed last night with my 7-10 day base order still processing. Woke up this morning with it shipped FINALLY.
Now, in Shanghai, it has left Fedex origin facility. Whatever that means. Also, it says that happened at 8:40 pm last night?
I'm going to be very confused by this.
But my estimated delivery date is thursday, a day earlier than the "June 22-29th" apple estimate.
It seemed like I was in processing for forever but actually this is a pretty speedy service. I'm hoping I can get my hands on it for wednesday to avoid having a free day to sit around anxiously without my MBPr.

Has anyone gotten lucky and had their processing moved up early from 2-3 weeks (example) to "shpped" early?

"All shipment travel activity is displayed in local time for the location"

So that 8:40 PM is the time in Shanghai, China when they picked yours (and mine, as well) from the factory.

Mine initially says 7-10 business days, rec. 6/27-7/3. Now it's shipping. As I went for the fast shipping, it'll be here in ~48 hours sort of.

Does this mean we wont see anymore movement today since it's now night time in Shanghai? Damn.
Is your computer on the same status as mine?!

Just purchased on Apple's website after reading through the reviews and people's first impressions on this forum. I expected a 3-4 week shipping time, so I am fine with my Jul 17 - Jul 23 delivery time.

I have heard some people getting a free upgrade in the shipping, so I am wondering if anyone know how I could potentially do that. Thanks in advance!

Well, I ordered a maxed out model (with 768 GB storage) immediately when the online store opened and got a shipping status of 3-5 weeks. The very next day, the status of new orders was 2-3 weeks. So somehow, ordering a day later would have made my new computer ship faster!

Anyway, I'm still stuck in "processing." I'm wondering if anybody else's has shipped with the 768 Gb option.

My 7-10 day just shipped. Went into Preparing for Shipment yesterday afternoon then had my CC charged soon after and at 1:15AM I got a tracking number. With 2-3 day shipping FedEx says it'll be here on the 20th. Have hope 2-3 weekers!

Same here. I have regular free shipping and mine is scheduled for the 21st.

So how do we start stalking the plane? This is torture!

I ordered as well with 768/16/2.7 about 2 hours after and i have 2-3 weeks, i think it is the SSD that is holding us back

I think all 768Gb option got 3-5 weeks even after the keynote

Does anyone know how many days it will take until it's getting delivered?
As for right now my cpu is on the flight heading for Amsterdam.

The final destination is Sweden.

So we have our Macbook on the same flight then. I think we'll get it on Monday.

This part is what I don't like: 21-Jun-2012 15:00:00 CEST Requested Delivery Date.

Seems like Apple have requested a delivery to them on Friday? And mine is getting "merged" with gift card/Ethernet to Thunderbolt cable, which probably will delay delivery by at least one day.

I'm in the same situation as you guys, need to start finding which flight its going to be heh. Maybe flight #92 tonight?

I ordered a 768gb/16/2.6ghz and I've got a waiting time of 2-3weeks, to be delivered between 2nd-6th July. Thing is, I'm flying off on the 1st, so if i can't receive it by then, I have to cancel my order as i'm gonna be away for over a month :(

Unfortunately you can't start stalking it until you it leaves its current location. Then just check the time with the Fed Ex departure times!

I've got the same exact situation! I'm moving to another country on 1st of july and I'm on the 2-3 weeks wait.

Sucks that I ordered on day 1 and have a 3-5 week shipping quote, while those that ordered after me have 2-3 weeks. Hopefully, this is just an estimate and I'll get mine in 2-3 weeks too...

Just call Apple, telling them that you are gonna be out of town on July 18. See if they can modify the shipping method to a faster one.

ps. after using for 30 mins don't think i can go back to another screen.... its so crazy!

Now my computer is in Japan! What are they doing, I live in Virginia! After 2 days fooling around in China I wonder why they decided to move it to Japan.

It's one of the common routes.

My machine is coming in the same shipment as yours. I spent a while obsessing this morning and was wondering what flights are coming today and was hoping for FX28 from Narita to Anchorage, but there was no info for it. Now when I go to close down my windows from my earlier obsession session I see that FX28 has popped up and is about to land.

I'd have a small wager on it being on that plane. If so we'd see updates in an hour or two.

Just stopped into my college apple retailer to check up on my order for my rmbp that I placed on monday the 11th right after the keynote and said they won't have stock for another week or week and a half. So discouraged.
