I'm having the same worries and it sucks. However, all those threads about battery life have a lot of people measuring time using only the estimator, which isn't really a good way of measuring it. I'm definitely going to test the battery out during the return period.

I don't feel that the non-tb version is powerful enough for my needs and considering how long I've waited I don't really want to buy the 2015 version.

I'm a web developer and for my work I use virtual machines. I know I'm gonna stress the battery so I don't expect 10 hours but if its 6-7 hours in normal mode, I will have at best 4. and my mates at work with an 2015 13 mbp gets almost 7 hours...

Now, I believe we have enough information to figure out what happened with Europe being later than the US:

Taking into account that:
  • When the Apple Store went live on the 27th, the stock models were shipping in 3-4 weeks whilst BTO models were 2-3 weeks (very unusual)
  • Our good friend @MaximTV's MacBook - which had a 3-4 estimate - is on the same flight as 2-3 week orders
  • Orders are arriving towards the end of the original estimate (again, very unusual for Apple not to hit the start of the date range)
My hypothesis is that the Store had a glitch, we should have all been on 3-4 weeks, and Apple messed up by giving BTO orders 2-3 week estimates, and had to work their assess off to ship a week early.

This was made doubly difficult for them by the fact that they had to expedite the people with 3-4 week estimates into the 2-3 week slot, otherwise those customers would have got annoyed at the apparent priority given to BTO orders.

This could also be why Schiller didn't specify that only the US would be shipping in 2-3 weeks in the keynote: the plan was for the online store to make it clear which countries were shipping when, but they messed up and gave people 2-3 week dates rather than 3-4 weeks.

But your computer is way slimmer! :D (and has some other cool features, too, like being able to be charged by pretty ordinary USB power banks...)

Why would you keep bothering CS? They know nothing and can't help you, your MacBook Pro is still not too late and the delivery date-range is an estimate. Just relax and have patience, there are way worse thing is life than waiting for a new computer. :)
 
I've been following this thread and thought I'd join the discussion to kill some time. I ordered a custom 15" MBP about 10 minutes after the keynote and eagerly awaiting its arrival like you guys.

The status of my order went from "Shipped" to "Order in transit to customer" and just now went to "Shipment dispatched". "Order in transit.. " sounds further along I would think.. Hopefully it isn't delayed.

DHL's site still only says that they received the shipment's information, of course...

Hoping it's flying out to Amsterdam right now. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Anyone with a late November to early December estimate got any traction?

I ordered on the 30th, have 28th Nov - 5th Dec estimate for the UK but still not payment or order update :(

Well when it's there of Course we'll adjust and it becomes normal after a couple of days.

But then again, my iPhone 6S Plus and my current MBP 13 from 2013 give me joy on a daily Basis. It's certainly a small pleasure because These are just Tools but they bringt joy every time I use them. Every morning when I open the lid of my Macbook Pro I'm full of anticipation to enjoy and work with it. I just love touching it, typing on it..

OMG, that sounds like I'm talking about a woman! :rolleyes::rolleyes: - alright, it's just a tool, nothing and nobody is more important than my GF.

Relax - I have 24nov - 1dec window and I'm currently in Preparing for delivery with a charged credit card... you should not yet be there... expect to see some changes next week in your order details

Same boat as you. No movement on bank payment at all, keep seeing pending transactions getting my hopes up to realise it's something I've just bought :(

Relax.. Most people with 24th Nov - 1st Dec are still at processing items.
