I'm in the same boat.
Ordered about 2 hours after the keynote ended. I had

BTO
15" Space grey
2.9 Ghz i7
256gb SSD
Radeon 460

17 Nov- 24 Nov

Thursday (or even Friday) is starting to look quite tricky....

Same here .... still no progress...
Card has been charged the 11th
Tomorrow is the first date of my estimated delivery frame...

:-(

I'm going to hold back my judgement until the 17th. It wouldn't surprise me if apple were freighting stock in bulk to Europe, which will then be sent next day, so from our perspective it will "ship" tomorrow or thursday.

Apple After Sales rep told me BTO devices are shipped and traceable from China.. that took away my hope from distribution out of a eu warehouse...

Or, you know... maybe everybody could stop making a fuss about getting their laptops at the end of the delivery window, instead of the beginning?

It's amazing that people think an organisation as large as Apple is secretly so petty as to make sure some US customers get theirs first. Like, really, do you not think they have better things to do?

And all based on the flimsiest of evidence, as well - a handful of customers on MacRumors, extrapolated out to hundreds of thousands.

This fuss is childish in the extreme.

I very much wish this is what happens but BTOs have never shipped from Europe. :(

Oh well, I guess I don't need to clear a space on my desk just yet as I ordered mine about 48 hours after the keynote...

No CC charges as yet either.

Hang in there guys, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. I think we've all gotten used to Apple over-delivering when it comes to pre-order delivery promises so try not to get too upset when maybe they only 'meet' those estimates instead of beating them. Also remember they gave us a range of dates to expect delivery so anything better than the latest estimate is a bonus.

Hey guys,

I had a short chat with CS and got some information I want to share with you

- EU orders are in time
- shipping starts a few days after creditcard debiting
- no Macbooks in Store before December 1st
- estimated shipping windows could be faster, just for apple to be sure

Don't know if this information is useful but anyway.. here you go.

Happy waiting anyone, looking forward getting my MBP 13" around 5.-9. of december :)

Regards from GER

This waiting is killing me. But my window is 11/25 - 2/12 - so I will probably wait for at least one week before anything happens.:apple:

Can someone give me a rough estimation of a delivery date if I was to order this week? This would be from a retail seller because there are no Apple stores where I am. I wonder if that makes a difference.

I ordered a 13" BTO (i7 3.3, 16gb RAM) around 5 days ago to London, and got an estimate of 15-Dec onwards.

Exact same situation for me. In theory it's still possible to receive the MBP tomorrow, since there's a UPS flight from Louisville to Cologne, Germany. Could be wishful thinking tho.

Well.... if that was true I would have had my MBP for a long time now!

I ordered OCT 28 and was charged 12 hours after... so I've been poor and without the new mac for quite some time now!!!

I see no chance for getting it tomorrow. Impossible! But Thursday is possible if the Macbook ships today. But IMHO it will be friday or monday. We have to get from "processing" to "shipped" in a few hours to have it at Thursday.

It is the worst launch Apple has ever had. Apple Watch 1 was also bad, but this time is really annoying. Not the late shipping, but late shipping with no information makes me angry.

There is a difference between "pre charge" and "charge"... nobody is really charged this early!

The money is not reserved or in any way still awailable on my account !! So don't say that nobody is charged this early... I was and the money has been payed from my account and this is not just a reservation of the amount of money.
I don't know if this is coursed be the type of card I've been using or what.. the fact is that the money is out of my account for sure ! Not coming back

I believe that if you pay by debit card as opposed to a credit card, then they do take the money straight away.

Ha, I wish! The PowerMac G5 was delayed so much at launch that I moved house twice between the original quoted delivery date and actually getting it.

If you think not getting an item earlier than the quoted delivery period is a bad launch… I don't know what to tell you. I'm in the same boat as everyone else — my MBP has a window of the 17th-24th here in Sweden. Sure, it's a bit disheartening to see US folks getting them first, but after waiting over a year for a refreshed MBP, what's a few more days? :p

Oh yeah! Of course... That would be the point! In Denmark we have our 'own' type of card called DanKort (Dan-Card) which is combined with VISA for international transactions but is as a default a debet card. When you buy in the Apple Store there is the option to pay by Dankort and that is probably why this is charged right away!

The funds have not actually been taken from my debit card account but the available balance has decreased and a pending transaction has been in place from Apple Store since Friday. Hurry up and take my money!

My BTO was ordered about 30 minutes after the keynote finished; I've got a delivery date of 17th-24th and am based in the UK. My credit card (Lloyds Bank) has had 2 pending transactions from Apple. One on the 11th for the MacBook itself and one on the 12th for the AppleCare. Still "Processing Items" on the order though!

I want my MBP nowwww! lol I too have chatted with live chat and they told me I may get it slightly sooner than 6th-12th Dec

Think it'll be a big difference for me, currently on a Dell XPS which weighs double what the MBP will weigh, is about 4.5 times thicker, has a battery life of around 5 minutes, a spacebar which jumps out every other press, a tab button that is missing and an escape button that doesn't work..... haha oooo i can't wait!

Still no movement... delivery range 18-25, so I don't think there's any reason to freak out, but I'm like... if they ship it tomorrow, chances are I'd have to wait until Monday unless FedEx is keen on delivering on weekends...

I totally agree. However, my biggest grudge is that such a large group of US customers are getting theirs. Even people who ordered several days, up to two WEEKS, after us.

I am trying to patiently wait for my order, but it's difficult when I have seen no movement at all.

Seeing no movement means very little at all, though. It's not the same logistics path, and it's entirely possible they'll be shipped in bulk to Europe this time. Lots of people here seem to suggest this has never been done before, but actually it has.

I would suggest those receiving theirs early - if their posts are genuine - are benefitting from the far better developed logistics paths in to the US or something mundane, like the machining of unibodies having produced a glut of R1999 keyboard pieces.

That said, however, I do not believe the data collected by MacRumors users is enough to identify a pattern at all. The new MBPs are the best selling laptops of 2016, after all. Only the smallest fraction of those orders belong to people posting here.

It was moved for my benefit? Gosh, I'm flattered.

I recently saw a post where you called reductio ad absurdum on someone. Amusing, since you're making ad hominem attacks now - post count means nothing.

I haven't been condescending, I have correctly called people out on the fact that they are presuming an international company is so petty as to ignore whole markets of people based on very, very limited data. (As a fan of logical fallacies, you will recognise this is apophenia!)

I'm not far from you (nr. Pickering) with pretty much the same order time and charges. Will be interesting to see if they turn up at the same time!
