It was moved for my benefit? Gosh, I'm flattered.
Yes, it absolutely was. And you've followed to kick up a fuss and it isn't welcomed.

I recently saw a post where you called reductio ad absurdum on someone. Amusing, since you're making ad hominem attacks now - post count means nothing.
It does. It means you've made a very limited contribution, and the contribution you have made is condescending and fruitless.

I haven't been condescending, I have correctly called people out
"This fuss is childish to the extreme"
Erm...

presuming an international company is so petty as to ignore whole markets of people based on very, very limited data. (As a fan of logical fallacies, you will recognise this is apophenia!)
Are you insinuating some people in Europe have had theirs delivered already? Because that would only bolster my "first come first served" argument.

Komplement rolling out the Latin to really show he has the smarts. Given he's also trolling a tech forum full of well mannered and helpful contributors from behind his keyboard, he is clearly a tough guy too. Formidable package.

Brookzy - I see your point here. Regardless of various import and/or regulatory issues, Apple could have implemented delivery times with greater parity across the board as opposed to merely - US first and then the rest later.. This stings all the more in the UK given the insane pricing.

Hey guys,

I had a short chat with CS and got some information I want to share with you

- EU orders are in time
- shipping starts a few days after creditcard debiting
- no Macbooks in Store before December 1st
- estimated shipping windows could be faster, just for apple to be sure

Don't know if this information is useful but anyway.. here you go.

Happy waiting anyone, looking forward getting my MBP 13" around 5.-9. of december :)

Regards from GER

Thanks for the update.
My delivery window is 16/11 - 23/11. I guess in time means somewhere in the window.
Still no change in status.

Was away on an island disconnected from the internet for 3 weeks. Between Oct-21 and Nov-12. You guys who got to order on announcement day are lucky sods :p

My order (just placed yesterday) is expected 29-Dec. I think i might need to pull a @WRONG and heavily fuel-coholise myself for the next month and a half.

I have my 13" i7 500gb estimated for the 17-24th. Seeing as this is the day after tomorrow, is there any chance we will receive it soon? My paypal was authorised on the 11th, but is still pending. It seems odd to me that we haven't had any PFS in the UK as the first batch estimated date is coming around quickly.

At least we have some videos to watch now!

This is from the other thread. I'm sorry but how is it fair that US customers get bumped up to earlier delivery??

It's absolutely bizarre. I can only hope that they are being stockpiled locally and a massive batch will be let out all at once.

That was a store pick-up though. They give you the latest date when you order.

I am REALLY surprised that nothing has happened for the EU yet. Did Apple hire new people or something?

@JackDaniels3 and @Komplement and anyone else claiming that this is a logistics issue.

Assuming that UPS is Apple's preferred partner for such releases, they have had regular flights to Dubai and Köln, so how on earth is this a logistics issue? Quite frankly the logistics system is quite well developed in the EU just because there are so many more regional hubs and regular transportation between those hubs.

To put a final nail in the coffin in this 'logistics' argument, if it was logistics then the orders would be stuck in P4S or Shipped, not Processing. So please, we all love Apple but let's be honest where it's needed, like several releases over the past two years, Apple has botched the release, only this time it tried to mitigate the damage through regional favouritism.

It's 11pm in China right now, so I have given up on a status change today (I'm still checking too often though) and therefore a delivery this week..
I'm sure they're working 24/7 and I recall some Americans going to Preparing for Shipment at something like 2AM China time.

I have 25 Nov - 2 Dec as delivery window, and I think I will receive it after the 25.. and the other EU customers who should receive their products between 17 and 24 November are still waiting for the shipping. Meanwhile, in the USA, the customers that should receive their new MacBooks in December are going to receive them in few days.

They have made their order at the same time, and both are going to pay. What does an USA customer better than an EU one?

...unless you're from Europe, in which case you can wait until everyone else has their MacBooks first.

[I appreciate the nuance and this post is in jest. I am not claiming Apple is being racist by fulfilling US orders first so please don't lecture me. :p ]

I have only one question - did any of you have order that is already late? No, you don't!
It will be crappy if there is a mass delay beyond your initial delivery window. Now it's juts Complain Olympics here without any actual reason.
So yeah, it a logistic issue that Apple already consider before they distribute the delivery windows.

If 50 people from US place order for 50 MacBooks's and 50 people from 50 different countries in EU place order for 50 MacBook's, guess who will receive their orders first :) I have no idea why all of you are so surprised.

Nah but I do not think that this is such a major issue. So instead of 200 english keyboards 200 german keyboards are brought to the worker who assembles the MacBook. Look at the car industry. They do not have issues with different configurations either.

It's not really about whether it's late or not, but the equal treatment of customers which Apple has chosen to ignore. There are members here who have placed an order within minutes after the keynote, yet they are still processing, while there are other members who claim to have made the order a few days later and yet they receive their orders much earlier. That in no way is 'equal treatment of customers', it's a matter of principle and not of practical returns.

As for the 50 order argument... 50 orders within the EU would be easier to distribute than 50 orders from the US, EU is governed by a single market rule meaning once you pass EU customs, there is unrestricted freedom of travel (we all know this since this was the UK's main reason for choosing Brexit, freedom of movement of goods, people, and labour). Sooooo then it pretty much comes down to who was first, now Apple doesn't need to ship in batches of 50, they can do 10s, 20s, etc. you get the point. It could have chosen to satisfy each customer globally in order, but they've chosen a rather bad way to release products.

Going past the argument on MBP orders, this is just yet another example in Apple's botched releases, in the UK you still CAN'T reserve iPhone's for instore pickup and you still see some lead time for more popular iPhone choices, we're now what..two months into its release? C'mon, not to mention how long did it initially take Apple to deal with all the Apple Watch orders (The first time, but fine I'll give them that it was a new product etc.)?
