So here's what I think is in play today regarding shipments.

Anybody that received shipment notification on Tuesday evening (me) is on housebill 7CP2893. Those that got notification early Wednesday morning are on 7CP2894. Both are on the same flight CZ453, but priority seems to be given to the first (one is expected to be processed at AMS by Thursday 6pm, the second by Friday 6pm.

Those with an expected delivery of Monday (28th) are with the first housebill and those with the 29th are with the second batch.

Press show details to see the differences:

Finished working for the night, guess these should be updating in 3-4 hours. Progress!

Excellent! Flight CZ453 currently on final approach to land at Schiphol Airport.

Hopefully those of us with an estimated delivery date of 28th (Monday) will receive updates from DHL later today.

DHL tracking is already working, and displays:
Thursday, November 24, 2016 Location Time Piece
1 Shipment information received EINDHOVEN - NETHERLANDS, THE 12:20

I have a waybill number, but still DHL doesn't provide the planning delivery date. Apple says that it will be on the 1st Dec

Based on the current logistics, the 1st is the day you'll most likely get it or a day earlier/later. I got shipment notification on Tuesday, ETA Monday. Those with Wednesday notifications, ETA Tuesday. Thursday... Wednesday. And so on and so forth.

The tracking of the cargo flight is really only necessary if you're interested in it, otherwise, wait approx up to 72hrs and you should see it's updating with movement in AMS.

Apple provides that estimate on the knowledge that it knows the planned cargo flight the goods will be on. DHL's tracking waits until it's in AMS to provide that info to end customers.

Hopefully by 6pm our DHL trackers will enter step 2. The logistics trackers might update in the next hrs.

I have an estimated delivery date of 28 November and on the DHL tracker it states that the shipment information was received on 22 December. However, on my Apple order page, which had said " shipment dispatched" for the last couple of days now says "in transit to customer - shipment on schedule", which was the status I originally had when my order changed from "processing". Is there a reason for this?

All still fine - we can't yet see it, but the cargo plane's expected delivery time has pssed and I assume it switched to this status very recently. I have the exact same status, nothing to worry about. As it states, everything still on track!

If there was an issue you'd see "Shipment delayed"

So how long does it take for a Macbook Pro to arrive at one's door from China? Apple indicates 7 days for the delivery (at least here in Switzerland) which i think is a bit of an exaggeration. I just find it astonishing as I work with chinese facotries and we get our products within 3 days with Fedex (they send it Monday morning china standard time and we have it Wednesday evening european time). So I am a bit surprised when we have to pay thousands of Swiss Francs for an Apple product and still get lousy shipment times. That is the thing that really annoys me.

Thanks for the clarification!

Well once it's left on the plane, 4 days. 1 extra day for it to get picked up and cleared for air freight. 1 extra day if the window covers a weekend. So 5-6 days atm.

Do you think that there is any possibility of delivery tomorrow rather than Monday?

Depends where you might live and how long it takes to clear customs. If it makes it to your final service center by 7am tomorrow, it might go out for delivery tomorrow. I'm also crossing fingers for that too, once it's cleared things will move much faster. I'm in Berlin so if it makes it on an overnight flight to Leipzig (DHL distribution center for Europe), then I could perhaps receive it tomorrow or Saturday.

For the occasion I extended my Parcel App subscription, so I can receive push notifications for each update on the shipment.

Thanks :) I still think that 5-6 days is way too long. Especially for the prices we pay. When I compare it to our company (small company with 300 employees) and we can afford a weekly airfreight shipment which arrives within 3 days from Hongkong and some additional FedEx shipments which also arrive within 3 days.

Mine shipped Wednesday morning about 4am and my tracking number still isn't recognised on the dhl site. :(

I know it would only be telling me that it's waiting for the stuff to arrive in Amsterdam so that the final shipping can be tracked, but still....

If I'm lucky, I could get it tomorrow which would be 3 days. Don't want to jinx myself though...

I think once stock in retail stores and production ramps up, 3-4 days will be more common.

Apple usually have a option of 2-3 day delivery, but for some reason only standard shipping was possible for these new macbooks.
And that sucks since me estimated is 30th now (7 days from shipped status) and that day i go on jobtravel for 4 weeks...
