Apple usually have a option of 2-3 day delivery, but for some reason only standard shipping was possible for these new macbooks.
And that sucks since me estimated is 30th now (7 days from shipped status) and that day i go on jobtravel for 4 weeks...

Well, the Americans were allowed the expedited option when ordering but not Europeans. Could be based on cost reductions for "smaller" markets which is why the 2-3 weekers were pissed as even retail US stores were swimming in stock almost a week before anyone in the EU had a sniff.

Mine shipped Wednesday morning about 4am and my tracking number still isn't recognised on the dhl site. :(

I know it would only be telling me that it's waiting for the stuff to arrive in Amsterdam so that the final shipping can be tracked, but still....

What's Apple's latest tracking status say?

In transit to customer - shipment on schedule

In transit to customer - shipment on schedule

All good then. Manifest for carriage received probably, and going out on tonight's flights out of Shanghai. See my previous posts to discover potential housebills to then find your cargo flight number. If you check Apple's status when the flight leaves, you should get "Shipment dispatched". When it arrives on the other end in AMS, you'll return back to "Shipment on schedule".

When it's left AMS, you'll get "In transit to destination country" (if it's not in NL).

Am I right in the assumption that the 15 inch models will not be available in store with the base configuration and 512 SSD and 460? I have the impression that - if they have BTO options at all - it will be the 1TB version? Because in this case I would have to order and cannot go directly in the store and maybe getting the machine earlier than in the prospected 4-5 weeks window.

Do you think that there is any possibility of delivery tomorrow rather than Monday?

Just looked again. If you're on my waybill, it's quite likely you will get delivery tomorrow. For this housebill, the ETA to AMS is today 6pm (others have started getting notifications at 12pm or 4pm, but should definitely hope to be there by 6pm). It then left around 11pm tonight towards Leipzig (unless there's a flight to the UK and you live there). Arriving in Leipzig around 1-2am. Unless you live in Gran Canaria, I think your package arrives at your local sort facility by 7am and then should go out the same day.

If you're on the 7CP2894 waybill, that has delivery to AMS as tomorrow, not today. Then you should expect Monday delivery.

I think if you originally had a 24-1 delivery window, you are on 7CP2893. Those with 25-2 delivery windows that already shipped are on 7CP2894.

Mine was shipped on Monday. DHL tracking does not go further than step 1 (22/11 12:59).

Roughly how long does it take for DHL to update its tracking?

Apple shows tomorrow as delivery date but I'm starting to doubt this estimation when I see the DHL tracking ... Unless the plane already landed and they haven't updated their tracking.

DHL status is still Shipment information received and tomorrow is the delivery date according to Apple.

Should be fine I think. Expect movement between 12-6pm today and your tracker to come alive, arriving at your local hub overnight and delivery same day. Things move much faster once it's cleared EU customs at AMS :)

It won't show you the cargo tracking (see all my previous posts). We're on the same schedule, though I was given an ETA of Monday. I think it will arrive tomorow however. My original delivery window starts today (24-1).

Finally my Mac is shipped as of this morning with DHL as carrier.! The journey begins in Eindhoven it seems and ends in Stockholm. How are you guys getting along with DHL?

Even though my delivery window is 24-1 I doubt that my order is on 7CP2893. I received the shipment e-mail last night (around 10:30 pm) and see the tracking information in DHL express as "Shipment information received". I would think my MBP is more likely going to be on 7CP2895 which will arrive in AMS Friday morning. ETA for the MBP is 11/30.

I'm also expecting to see Apple Stores in Germany to get 15" models today. This would mean I could "get" one a week earlier. If mine hadn't been shipped yet, I would go to the next Apple Store and get one. What did I "preorder" for if I can buy it in the store ahead of the scheduled delivery of my order? Doesn't really make sense to me...

There are ones later than that in the system, say, 7CP2901 which is a 740kg and manifested but not yet despatched. Has a flight code which I've not seen mentioned before either. Everything prior to that seems to have already departed. Everything after 7CP2911 seems to be very small shipments, a few kilos here and there and I then gave up as I couldn't see anything else.

Mine was a 25 to 2nd and is currently estimated for the 30th.

Half the delay at AMS will be the fact that it takes hours (ok, I'm exaggerating a bit) to get from the runway to the terminal! :D

DHL tracking is already working, and displays:
Thursday, November 24, 2016 Location Time Piece
1 Shipment information received EINDHOVEN - NETHERLANDS, THE 12:20

I have a waybill number, but still DHL doesn't provide the planning delivery date. Apple says that it will be on the 1st Dec

Nice, we have almost the same!

Does someone here have shipping with TNT? Seems that most of you got DHL, which I have great experience with - TNT, haven't used them much - anyone know how they operate?

Mine was a 25 to 2nd and is currently estimated for the 30th.

I think you might get it on Monday, 1 day earlier.

It all depends on when you got your shipment notification and what DHL says currently. If you got the notification it shipped early Wednesday, then you're most likely on 7CP2894.

Edit: Since you say 10pm yesterday, that was definitely too late (for the CZ453 flight). You're on 7CP2945 then, along with all the other 30th delivery folk I think.

Quite strange math Apple has. I'm in 4-5 wave, ordered on November 8th.
Apple website says delivery between Dec 13 - Dec 19, but 4-5 weeks it's Dec 6 - Dec 13 or I'm missing something? :)

Same thought I had a few weeks ago. It's false advertising for EU customers. US shipments are indeed 2-3 weeks. EU was almost a week later. Rants can be found in this thread about this issue somewhere around page 120 :D

My shipped email came through at 4am (UK time) yesterday morning, I think somebody else said theirs was at 10pm.

As annoying as it is, this guessing game is actually quite fun! lol

I got my date pushed back to 6-9 dec (2 weeks later than first schedule). But two day ago now the status changed to shipped (to Sweden). I have DHL Express and trackning number on Apple site, but cant track it?!?

Tried to find how others are doing here with no luck. :-/ Any clue?

The really dumb thing is that if they had an option to pay for UPS shipping the moment it came off the line, how many people would buy it?

I'd wager quite a lot, even if it was an 25 euros or whatever extra if delivery was within a couple of days.

The 4-5 weeks is worded as "Ships in".

Ships does not equal Delivery.

Then I guess I should see some movement by the end of next week.

Apple changed to shipped wednesday morning, and right now DHL got to the first notification, does that mean its in amsterdam now? or that its just coming on some flight today?
