When did you place the order?

16 December, late afternoon

Poland here too, waiting for my replacement. You can basically estimate that if it'll go through customs today, it'll arrive tommorow.

That would be fantastic… no updates so far.
Why did you need to ask for a replacement unit?

Edit: Apple Store is now showing 'Preparing handover to final carrier'.

I had loose parts under the keyboard that would block keys, stuff was coming out it. I suspect a misassembled LED array because i managed to pull out a small shard of transparent plastic from out of 1 key. Also some part was loose in the general chassis and would travel inside when i would tilt the laptop. I'm pretty sure i got a lemon though, because my gf ordered another one, and hers is smooth sailing.

Edit :
5. Preparing handover to final carrier - It's passed through customs, and is on its way to AMS DHL hub. Means it'll board the plane AMS <-> Leipzig, then board Leipzig <-> Warsaw (for mine. If you're near let's say Wroclaw, that's where it'll go). Then directly onto the courier. It'll get here tommorow. Watch the DHL site update in around an hour or so, you'll get an SMS describing tommorow as the delivery date too

I ordered my 15 2.7/512/460 on November 28 from an authorized reseller because they where having a really good Black Friday deal. Still nothing, one month later.
Should have gone the Apple Store route

Bummer. Hope that your new one will be flawless (the usual complaints about the MBP2016 aside).

I did the same initially because of a bigger discount on 13 i7/16/1TB. They kept saying 'in a week or two' for three weeks, then after three weeks, on 16 December said 'we should get it in January OR February, haven't started receiving the October orders yet'. I got angry, cancelled the order with the reseller (which they didn't want to do on CTO until I called my lawyer and issued an official interpretation of the law claiming theirs was wrong - this was iSpot, for those in Poland), and ended up ordering an i5/16/1TB from Apple for even less (since I reckon the 11% bump in price -- on edu discount -- is not worth the insignificant 5-7% gain in speed i5->i7), and the communication with Apple has been so much better that it made me swear I'm never going back to that reseller for anything more than an adapter. Just over a week from then I'm actually expecting to get the computer any day now (though I know people waited more for the first few weeks)…

NEVER EVER do ANY business with iSpot. There's a reason they lost the monopoly and are not called SAD anymore. If you have to, at least go to Cortland.

I've heard this before but unfortunately was desperate to get a new MacBook before several longer travels starting January, and Cortland claimed - as they still do - '4-5 weeks on custom orders' (also, they don't have better .edu discounts than Apple itself, while Apple gave me a late December / early January date even back in November… which ended up being the correct one anyway, my mistake).

Because both of them are fighting for shipping time with the customer of AOS. Guess who has priority ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cool, congratultions! Ordered a 15/1TB/460 the 11th of December and still no news, was stupid and ordered through a reseller though...

Just got a text from DHL saying my delivery from APPLE is due tomorrow. :) Their tracking site now shows 'Processed at AMSTERDAM - NETHERLANDS, THE' (from 10 mins ago). Nervous and excited. Hope I don't have to send it back…

Merci !! :D
I felt like kissing the delivery guy to be honest. Can't wait to finish work and go play with it

please send us a short review (or a long in French via MP :))

I hope that you will have as many pleasure as I actually get with mine

@All the people soon delivered : ENJOY ENJOY, your patience will be granted soon, it's such a nice Laptop !

Sooooooooooo? How do you like it???
Ugh, I love it! No disappointment whatsoever (what's the status on yours ?!)

Like I said previously I was originally coming from an 2011 MBP which I sold in September 2015 (silly me, I thought new Macs would be coming October 2015 ...) and after some withdrawal I stole my dad's 2009 MB for a few months.
To be honest, my reaction might be biased because I'm used to older computers and 2014/2015 folks might not feel the same but I really find it awesome (have been using it for a couple of hours now).

It is a Silver - 13 inch TB - 16 GB / 512 GB / 2.9

What I love :
- the screen (one of the reasons I opted for a new one): it is gorgeous, nobody can deny it, the think side bezels and the high resolution really makes this thing tiny and beautiful.
- the speakers : I heard (no pun intended) that they were good and I can confirm, they are really strong with clear vocals/voices (sorry, love listening to music but don't know a lot about it).
- form factor : it's teeny tiny. I wanted to buy the 15 inch originally; but the screen was just too big for my liking.
- the speed : it's obvious this thing is a beast (even more coming from 5 years old + machines)

What I'm neutral to :
- the touchbar : I like a few things on it, but I didn't buy it because of it. I think there are interesting future possibilities for developers to do and surprise us with.
- the keyboard : lots of people are complaining but I don't mind it. I confirm that it seems to be more noisy that previously generations but it depends how you are typing (my guess is : if it is a long text and your hands know where they are going and just slide over the letters - - my writing style - then it doesn't make much difference with other MBPs).
PS : first time not using a US keyboard, it's quite a challenge getting used to AZERTY Mac (not the same as the Windows keyboards).
- the big trackpad : not bad, but not sure what's the point.

What I don't like much :
- the trackpad click : it's such a ridiculous detail so it shouldn't matter but I want it to be objective. Noise and click don't seem strong enough (quite a contrast with the keyboard sound).

Defects :
- Let's cross our fingers but none detected as of yet : no scratches, battery seems OK for the level of my own expectations. No double clicky letter either nor graphic glitches.

Definitely need to buy :
- a soft case / pouch to store that delicate machine
- some kind of hub with SD card

At last some (yellowish) pictures of (thanks to AirDrop 'cause now my computer is able to do it :p)

Goodnight all, and may all waiting people be as pleased as I am.
PS : really glad I picked silver, such a classy color and nice contrast with keyboard and touchbar (space grey is just too dark and full of testosterones :D).

re clicky trackpad: have you tried System Settings / Trackpad / Silent clicking? At least this is what I see in my Magic Trackpad 2 controls, it helped with what annoyed me when I started using the damn thing (you may also want to turn 'Click' to 'Light', which makes it less noisy with Force Touch); no complaints now, but I'm not sure if it's the same as what you're experiencing on your MBP

you may want to try one of the Satechi USB-C hubs with an SD card reader

I got mine 90 minutes ago and it is perfect. I am setting it up now and am just very happy to have a MacBook again. I had a MBP 2009 up until last year, but it only had 2 GB RAM and got really slow. I then switched to Windows computers because I thought it would be easier with my job where we use windows, too. I even thought I would switch to windows tablets and cell phones, too, but then I couldn't get used to windows. So I ended up getting the iPad Pro and another iPhone and decided to wait for the October keynote to see about a new MacBook Pro. I was really hoping for a gold one because my iPad and iPhone are gold, too, and I think it is a little more feminine, but they didn't introduce one in gold.
Now I have the space grey and very much like it, too. :D

Like you said, coming from an older MacBook, this is just heaven. :p

Well got mine, the courier came in early at 9AM. About done setting it up, no pictures this time because I already showed mine back when the 1st one arrived ;)

This one seems to have a working keyboard with no moving parts, no scratches, looks to be a good one!

Got mine too. A bit heavier and a tiny bit smaller than my Samsung Windows laptop (NP900X3E). I have yet to see if it's faster than my quad-core Late 2012 Mini with 512GB SSD and 16GB RAM in everyday tasks.

I can now understand the issue with the clicky trackpad -- it doesn't bother me that much but I see there's no 'Silent' option as in Magic Trackpad 2, how awkward they couldn't do this here.

Edit: I have the 3-finger drag issue that many had reported (I also saw one when playing with the basic model in the store). It works when all fingers are on one side of the trackpad but varies otherwise. Updating macOS now, let's see if it helps any.

Got mine way quicker than expected: Was fed up with Swiss resellers slipping the delivery date, so I ordered directly from Apple as my config now showed delivery within 1-2 weeks.
I ordered on December 20th, delivery window January 5th - 12th.
Got the shipping notification on December 26th, estimated delivery on January 3rd. Delivery by TNT - not a good sign from what I read here, so I wasn't overly optimistic.
On the Apple tracking site, the delivery date kept showing December 30th, but the tracking number could not be found on TNT's site, so I didn't get my hopes up for a 2016 delivery.
Today the shipment was suddenly out for delivery, TNT still not showing the tracking.
The TNT guy handed me my MBP about 20 minutes ago, what a great surprise!

Apple somehow added a "01" to the TNT tracking number on their site, that's why my TNT search never returned anything...

So, more or less a week between order and delivery for me!

Configuration: 13" TB 2.9/512/16 - solid workhorse for the next years.

Now if I only could quit work early and start playing around with the new toy...

Good news they're coming faster and faster. Mine is about to finish transferring files from a TimeMachine backup. I've updated already. So far happy with it, but the keyboard feels awkward at times - some keys are more clicky, some almost silent. I guess that's the way it is. Some people have returned theirs for this reason but it doesn't bother me that much and seems to even out with time.
The left shift bothered me some more as it felt like taking more time coming back to its initial position and was much more clicky in the right corner. I kept clicking it repeatedly and the issue seems to be gone. I think other keys may need some 'clicking-out' too. I'll keep typing on the MB's keyboard instead of an external one for a week or so to see if any other problems occur.
How are your keys, everyone? Is the sound even?

Maybe it's the way you type ?
I noticed on the outer keys i would type stronger because there's more distance to reach, so it might be the reason some of yours make more noise ? My worry was more about cosmetics and scratching (infamous speaker grill scratch) but upon inspection for now it seems OK.

I don't really mind when typing. I just tried hitting each key to see how it behaves and this is where the difference is noticeable.

Also, the computer has been quite warm so far. I can definitely feel it on the top and my hands get sweaty when typing, which is quite uncomfortable. But I have a ton of operations, including FileVault and copying large chunks of data to blame. I'm going out so I will let it cool off. But I was hoping for less heat on this machine to be honest.
