I'm going in store today, if they have them, I'll buy one , and never preorder again. I'll just refuse delivery.

What I have learned from Apple pre-orders in recent years is that it is rhe worst shopping experience , I can get the product faster in an Apple Store or a 3rd party, Apple online generally comes last.

It used to be be the other way around, pre-order was rhe best experience .

I'm perfectly fine with my delivery arriving within said window of 17 to 24..... But not if I can walk into store today and get a unit there. The part that disappoints me is that the most loyal customers would have pre-ordered and Apple gloats about the volume of pre-orders and yet takes them for granted. The more I think about it Tim Cook is Steve ballmer , maximising profit and milking it's user base.

Couldn't agree more!!!
Dont know if it has to do with Angela Ahrends, but since she's with Apple, pre orders really suck.
Apple doesnt care one bit for people pre ordering nowadays.

Tim is going for 1 thing and thing only: emptying your wallet as fast as possible with everything he's got (dongles ;)).
Everything else comes in 2nd or 3rd place.

Still stuck at PFS. Meanwhile in the other thread, people get their pick up MBP's 9 days (!) earlier and ETA changed days earlier.

Same situation.
However, i had the same thing for my iPhone.. "p4s" for a few days.. and then was shipped on Thursday evening... from NL... and got it Friday...
we will have an answer hopefully by tonight!

It's dangerous to give us hope about this!

Hoped to wake up with a "shipped" status,.....to bad that didn't happen.

Off course there is nothing to complain about at this moment since the delivery window is 16-23 November. But it feels kind off frustrating to see the other topic now...with people being able to pick MacBook up in store and receiving them more than a week ahead of their scheduled date :-(

Then again, if we weren't on MacRumors, we probably wouldn't be aware of this ;-)

On the other thread, didn't most people get theirs in 24hr deliveries straight from the US?
They also had to wait 2-3 days for despatch + tracking link. Obviously built & shipped from China, but maybe in bulk then split once local?

Not sure about what I'm saying here, just feels like that's how I remember things following that thread...

I was hoping for the same, no luck though :( What I find worse than all those threads, where people report about early delieveries, are those threads, where people report all those issues...

Broken speakers, flickering displays caused by broken 460s...

Makes me scared actually! One can only hope that that is some curse of the first batch, while we all get the later batches that are hopefully fixed!

Man, I hope you're right. It will be one long weekend when they deliver next week.

Apple is favouring US orders, I ordered BTO after the keynote but still preparing for dispatch !! 16-23 Nov
Which BTO you going for? I went for the 460 with 1Tb. Not hearing of any 460s that have been shipped...yet?
I'm into my delivery window and still P4S.

Even if the probability is very low, I'm still hoping to receive my MacBook Pro tomorrow and play with it this weekend!
It would be so nice :)

LOL, you guys did realize that with our luck, when we finally get the new MBP, it will probably be one of those with a faulty key, or an issue with the dGPU, or I don't know what. And since most of us has ordered a BTO, it will take ages to see a replacement. Especially since most of us have specialized keyboards.

I will say this, if you could get a stock MBP 15" with the 460 GPU, I wouldn't have pre-ordered. Kind of surprising that the 460 a lot of people want, needs to be BTO. It really should be in the top stock model, and Tim Cook should have taken a small hit on his beloved profit. That would be nice.

I read something about there not being many of the 460 processors available. It almost read like they were coming off the production line then being shipped to the MBP assembly line and dropped in. Would explain why the delivery times for the 460 are out to next year already?

Lucky you people who have an Apple Store to pick up a MBP once it's available. We don't have one in Norway. Our official retailer - Eplehuset - said that they would be lucky to get any before christmas. And then only the base and maxed out model of 13" and 15". They do have the non-touchbar model available.

I hope you are right. German Apple reseller cyberport has given today as the date the new MacBook Pros become available in their warehouses for delivery, so possibly they arrive today somewhere in Europe with a delivery date of tomorrow. At least if cyberport is right, you will get them tomorrow as they usually deliver within one day.

If we get them even later then people from cyberport, then **** you Apple. Big time

Fully agree with you! Weekend messed up big time if they arent delivered tomorrow!

Btw., are we sure they are coming with UPS? If its DHL, they could also be delivered on Saturday, right? (In Germany that is)

Unfortunately, I have to tell you that my experience with the guys from Cyberport ist even worse. They promised delivery dates that they were not able to hold. Anyhow, I work directly next to a store, and maybe I have some time to visit it this evening. I will tell you the result. :)
