Has everyone that's saying how angry they are at Apple missed their delivery ranges?

Since mine said 17-24th, so i could have cancelled it immediately if i didn't want to wait that long.

Yes, i obviously would rather have had it delivered by now, or 3 weeks ago, but it seems unreasonable to be angry before it's actually late.

Two choice:
- Your MPB is used as a replacement MBP for US customer (eg, GPU problem ?...)
- Apple discovered a bug with REV A and push back all devices not expedited yet... (eg, GPU problem ? ;p)
Sorry for the confusion, i have not MacBook Pro 15 inch with dedicated GPU. I have MacBook Pro 13 inch TB with 16 GB RAM.

True, to an extent. But Apple are quite happy to accept your pre-order online weeks in advance, implying you will get them before any other means - then lo and behold they start popping up in stores with walk-in availability a couple of days after your order dispatches (that's dispatches as in sitting in stock room in China somewhere waiting for a courier collection ... as mine has for 5 days).

Please read the thread completely. It's all about communication, lack of information, incorrect expecatations, the fact that US can walk in to a store and buy it already, the fact that they set everyone's delivery across he world the same but not following a first come first served method. If there was a good reason for this that's fine but without communication that's another thing. Also in doubting whether we will get them in our windows at this stage.

The more I hear about this laptop the less I want it! Battery issues, SIP disabled, arriving with scratches, etc etc. not to mention the delays in shipping. Also apparently the SMC reset doesn't actually extend the battery life when timed with a timer. Just resets the percentage.

For my fellow germans who wonder if there might be any touch bar models in stock at various apple stores: called the apple stores in all major cities yesterday - they do not even have those device for display purposes yet :D hilarious given the situation in the US right now. Seems like we're stuck with our preorders until delivery.

Yeah, I checked out my local Apple Store in Frankfurt every day on the way back from work and they got no clue.
My guess is they're getting Display modes on Tuesday, at least that's when I can pick up mine in the Store.

I would have guessed they'll get them last Wednesday but no... oh well just a couple of days left for me.:cool:

Well look on the bright side...by having these delays, it means the US customers are working through all the possible bugs and problems so by the time we receive ours, we should know what to do if we experience anything AND if we do need a replacement, there is a higher chance of being able to get one quickly (as more stock will be in the EU).

Are you sure it isn't just a payment problem?
It's not payment issue. The woman told me that my order is delayed because i have not default stock MacBook Pro 13 inch TB. The money was already reserved by my payment provider. It's little bit strange that my order status is not changed after the call. The new delivery date is 5 - 9 dec and not 24/25 nov.

The website takes forever to update, so you'll probably see the change soon enough. I'm sorry for you, though. I think I nearly dodged that bullet because mine kept preparing for shipping for ages, and I thought it was going to be delayed too. But according to Apple, it's shipped.

I'm called by Apple to tell me that my order delayed. The reason is that my MacBook Pro not default stock MacBook Pro is, but upgraded MacBook Pro with 16 GB RAM. The first deliver date was 16 - 25, after that 24 / 25 and now 5 - 9 dec. The order status shows my that my MacBook Pro will delivers 24/25 and current state is preparing for shipping. After the call is my order state not changed, little bit strange.. Have some one the same problem?

Are you saying that Apple called you to inform you of a delay? We are many people in this thread with BTO orders, but I have not heard of any other indications of official statements of delays. You say that you ordered a 13"/16GB, with an initial estimate of 16-23. When did you order and what dates have your status been changed?

To be fair, the availability in the US might be related to the fact that most european countries have a different keyboard/case layout. I'm not sure if they have different assembly/manufacturing lines for every keyboard and case version. That doesn't explain why those of us who ordered a US keyboard layout have not received it yet, but maybe they just ship it with all the french, uk, german and other layouts.

Got my invoice and CC got charged. Yay, it's Happening! :po_O

I was thinking about that whole "Tim Cook is such a logistics Genius" Thing. Maybe I got it wrong thinking that customer satisfaction is paramount but instead maybe they indeed mastered logistics in term of Apple's cost of production, just in time delivery of parts etc. nevermind how Long it takes for the products actually become available for the customer?

I mean, in the end, we're buying it anyway because we still love the products. And they know that and to some extend Long delivery times add to that "oh they sell like hot cakes" Story. I really think they don't care about the Frustration or else they would just prepare everything, then Launch and make the product immediately available instead of These tedious cold launches we have seen over the last couple of years. It's really disappointing.

Yes, i am called by Apple. I ordered my MacBook Pro after few hours after the keynote (October 27, 2016). The first delivery was 16 - 23 nov. Friday it was changed to 24/25 and now i am called by Apple that my order is delayed and the new delivery date is 5 - 9 dec. The reason: Not stock default MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touch Bar and Touch ID. The order status page is not changed after the call.

My configuration:
  • 2.9GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5
  • 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
  • Intel Iris Graphics 550
  • 256GB PCIe-based SSD
  • Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • Touch Bar and Touch ID
  • Force Touch trackpad
  • KYBD/USER'S GUIDE-NLD
  • COUNTRY KIT-INT

This sucks, sorry. :(

I'm curious, what's the Status of your order? P? P4S?
