Macbook Pro Mission control and volume icon not see through/greyed out

I have a 2015 Macbook Pro on MacOS 10.13.2, my volume icon and mission control aren't see through anymore. They are more of a grey colour. I would like to know if there is a fix for this, I have tried reseting the SMC and the PRAM. Thanks.
