Macbook Pro M1 2021 keeps disconnecting my Airpods and these are the things I've tried:
  • Tried repairing, killing bluetoothd, switch on/off, removing all paired devices, and rebooting
  • Took to Genius at Apple Store and they sent it in for repair, said they replaced the Airpods module but not the case. Still did not resolve the issue when I got home.
  • Bought new Airpods 4, also disconnects from my MBP
  • Test Airpods Pro 2 and Airpods 4 on iPhone 15 and Macbook Air on Sequoia and no disconnect issues
  • None of the other paired Bluetooth devices are disconnecting from MBP. This includes KB, mouse and external speakers.
  • Bought a USB-C Bluetooth dongle that acts as a separate audio device and allows me to pair my Airpods to the dongle. Although the Airpods Pro 2 noise cancellation and other native features are missing since it's not paired directly from the builtin Bluetooth module, I am finally able to use my Airpods with my MBP but still want to resolve the builtin Bluetooth issue
I was thinking my builtin Bluetooth module might be dead but it still works with other bluetooth devices so that can't be. I also have no issue with my Airpods on my Macbook Air on Sequoia so now I'm confused. What else should I try?
