It’s a problem with the Testufo website.

Testufo cannot recognise Safari running at 120Hz. It reports the same on iPhone 13 Pros & iPad Pro’s with ProMotion.

However, it USED to report the correct refresh rate in Safari on macOS. But not anymore.

That's what - it did report it properly last time I 'forced' 120 Hz in Safari.

Are these email addresses real? lol
No, it’s not. Or well almost. They got filters that sends the emails to other staff that are answereing but sometime they answere by them self.
Steve was one of them that use to answere almost everyone by him self.

Can you imagine that Greg or Tim are scrollowing trough houndreds of emails every day?
cool. Did you ever get a reply?
100% sure. Craig read my email. Because he did reply to one of my other emails. Maybe Craig wanted to keep it a secret now literally a month later we are getting Pro-Motion in Safari. It is not a coincidence. 👏🏻

Also check out this post. Craig replied to my email directly. #59 :)

It is nice, I can scroll through the ad's faster now. You know since there are not good ad blockers anymore after they gutted extensions with Safari 12.
Incorrect. Ad blockers have never been better (since Safari 12) due to the implementation of content blockers. Pages load faster, too. I think you’ve been using the wrong one(s).

Are you sure those email addresses are real?
100% sure. They are real. Craig himself responded to me personally. Also, the other emails are the executives, way up in the leadership chain.

I emailed the macOS hardware team. They can be found below.

It’s funny how everyone is asking me that, 😂

If you had cut out 90% of the weird fluff in the email and removed all the unnecessary emails in Cc/Bcc you probably would have received a swift reply.
I wasn’t hoping or expecting to receive a reply I wanted him to see we need Pro-Motion in safari. A month later that’s exactly what’s happening. He heard it or someone in the macOS team heard it.

It’s nothing weird. It’s all kindness. I was just telling him the truth and speaking from the bottom of my heart ❤️.

Action speaks louder than words. 🗣📣

Love it. I'll give you massive credit for helping teach me one thing that I'm trying to change my life. I am far too negative, and want to become more positive. I chatted w my sales friend (the type who could sell ice to eskimo), and said, I am in awe of your sales skills, I wish I could have a fraction of it. She replied, Sideshow, you're an engineer, your job is to find fault in everything, and fix it. I'm a salesperson, my job is the find the good in everything, and sell it. It was an interesting revelation, and made me feel much better about myself and my skills. However, I still wanted to become more positive (without destroying the engineering critique skills). Reading all your posts, has been a full on lesson in massive, unwavering, positivity. Thanks for that. And love your letter, and the way it is written.
Thank you. That means a lot to me.

❤️ ✊ 🙇🏻‍♀️

You haven't quite seen their 'passion' towards Apple. I am surprised they restrained themselves to just that what they wrote.

Thank you I’ve been saying for weeks it’s not there and 12.1 didn’t bring it and many people have said it was there when it wasn’t and I was right, can’t wait to try 12.2 I’ll report back if it has been fixed
Yeah drives me nuts...there's a category of Apple fans (which I'd classify as more cult members and actually bad for the brand) that will claim in decades of use they've never had a single issue/crash/bug with any Apple product/software release ever... when it's religion to someone, all rationality or observable evidence is thrown out the window

There isn't a difference I don't think. This would have been addressed in a Safari Technology update beforehand and that has not happened. I think this is just wishful thinking.

This is the equivalent to "Its snappier" for iOS updates. I think until Apple actually says its fixed it won't be fixed.

I can’t find the email addresses on there.

Wrong, 12.1 did bring 120Hz Promotion scrolling for Safari and all 3rd party apps (Chrome, Firefox, etc). Just use Quartz debug or the 240fps slomo camera of your iPhone to measure it.

The 12.2 update might reduce some lag on some websites but it’s definitely not a “new” thing now.

I haven't installed the beta yet but I got the safari preview one and its 15.4 so ahead and its the exact same same as macOS 12.1 so unless macOS 12.2 with safari 15.3 has something the preview one 15.4 has its not improved at all
