Motion 3.0.1 now inoperable on my 17" HD
The OpenGL update crashes motion with near 100% consistency on start up on my High Res 17". All my existing motion projects crash upon opening and if I use the "send to motion" command in FCP, it opens motion, and then immediately crashes the application. I had to do a total system reinstall to undo this update.
Just to make sure it was this update and not something else, I backed up my existing project files. Reinstalled OS 10.4.9 from scratch. Reinstalled Motion 3.0 from scratch. I could open the project files.
Then I updated to 10.4.10. I could open the project files.
Then I updated to Motion 3.0.1. I could open the project files.
Finally I updated to Macbook Pro Update 1.0. Motion:CRASHCRASHCRASH. I dutifully filled out the bug reports.
I just got through with all these reinstallations/updates for a second time (skipping the last this time around, of course). I'll wait patiently for MBP update 1.1. Please, Apple.
