I'm also not totally necessarily comfortable with OLED as a computer screen for burn in - love my LG C1 OLED TV and thought I had no burn in until I looked at a dark grey screen. With the very lengthy time static content is left up for when using a computer (think the dock), I would expect some level of burn in to happen over time. So I'm not sure whether to get the current MacBook or if I do want to wait for the OLED model.
I have both the 2021 iPadPro with mini LED and 2024 OLED iPad Pro. Obviously the OLED is better but I still find the miniLED looks really good too a lot of the time, just not when I view it with lights out.
And this might be an odd issue, but I might like using my Apple Studio monitor less if my MacBook has an OLED screen and there will be a bigger gap still between them.
