I guess I'm the only one in the world who still wants to see the MAC PRO updated. With NAB coming, one would think MAC PRO, which is used by video professionals would certainly also get an update. Here's hoping.
These are the posts I mentioned earlier in my worries about qualitiy. My four year old Samsung notebook is working fine (and I get 6 hours of workload with the extended battery, 10 hours if using both batteries), my 12 years old discounter notebook is working fine (except the battery which died some time ago), even my I-do-not-remember-how-old Olivetti notebook with Windows 3.1 is working if I switch it on for nostalgic reasons. Here I am continously reading about MBPs falling apart after only 2 or 3 years of useNot giving much confidence in the quality. Or what are you doing to your notebooks to break them that fast!?

New Hardware/Software at NAB2010
This points to Wednesday though? Needless to say, against Apple's tradition of releasing products on Tuesdays.
We should know in around 11 hours from now, if Apple (<3) will truly release the updated line on Tuesday or not.
Allowing me to get my first Macbook Pro. :-D
I'm also worried about Sandy Bridge released next year.
Don't want to spend a premium price on something that will get v. outdated in a couple of months (5-6).
Note: Sorry if this has already been posted, if it has, and been ignored...
> ...Could someone please tell me what disproves this?
P.S. "Thanks Hickman, for your v. useful posts."
If we see nVidia 330M at the high end, I won't be impressed and may need to rethink my love for all things MacBook Pro.

Most people who buy macbook pros are...pros, they do stuff in the field (wherever that may be). Frankly, wear and tear on any brand is inevitable but those people who are toughest on their gear most likely have extended warranty, so the point is moot. The macbook is a tool that is supposed to be used, not kept in an airtight glass case and treated like a work of art (though you can always do that if it pleases you.![]()
i'm just wondering.. Are we gonna see this happen soon??![]()
Since its so early in the morning, when I saw that I was like "Oh wow!!" and raced to apple.com...yeah...thank you tiredness! Great job on that anyways!![]()

i just received an insurance payout to my local mac store for a damaged 15" mbp - i'm due to pick up a top spec 13"mbp with upgraded memory etc.
i was holding out to see if this new generation of mbp is for real and applicable to 13".......
the suspense is sucking me into the genius of Apple marketing hype and mystery haha!
think my lust for a new laptop may overwhelm me today though!

Well, I'm up at almost 6am EST...I'm still slightly hopeful for today, but I think I'll sleep easy tonight even if I don't have one today!![]()
I'm on the other side of Earth, Tuesday is almost over here......what time does the update happen usually? If it does.
