You stated that Tim Cook made promises? As I can't see where he stated anything, and quite a few others have commented the same, and you seem to be adamant he made promises, it's only fair that you enlighten us. As you posted the information, on a forum, yes you are talking to me, and the thousands that frequent these pages. As someone who has been a member for 13 years, and made over 300 posts, their is an expectation that you have something to contribute.
Do you think you're contribute something? All I see new features delay, delay and delay. Since Tim Cook is the CEO. He's responsible for not delivering what they are supposed to. FULL STOP.

Delay from when?

And who made the claim/promise? A tech pundit? If so, why would Mr. Cook be responsible?

It has been mentioned MacBook Pro getting OLED for awhile. Google it. Mr Cook is the boss of Apple. Of course he's responsible for product development.
It’s been *rumored* for a while, Apple has made zero official comment about it

Mentioned by who? Mr. Cook, or another Apple executive? Nope. Mr. Cook is not responsible for rumors by tech pundits. Just as you are not responsible for things you have never said or claimed.

all these people wondering when Apple made promises....did we all not see the same iphone 16 pro keynote last year?

Half the stuff they mentioned in that keynote still isn't here.

Cool, and if this were a thread about iPhones, Siri, or AI that would be a valid counterpoint, but the subject here is OLED macbook pros, which apple hasnt said one word about

and when they do we can't trust it.

Meanwhile everyone else has been offering OLED on their laptops for years.
Yeah? That's what Apple always does. They take an existing tech and improve upon it. Android phones had OLED since around 2010-11 and didn't come to iPhones until 2017. iPad just got one last year when other tablets had it waay back.

I’m buying a M4 Macbook with Pro chip. The specs work for me just fine. This never ending “wait for the latest” is an endless game you can never win.
I put my money where my mouth is and have bought this Macbook. 14" M4 Pro Chip, 24G of memory and 512G SSD. It is amazing and does everything I personally need from a computer on the move or on my lap. I have the 16" inch Macbook M3 as well with work and it is big and bulky.

I would have liked the 1TB but the cost is crazy in the UK from where I am - and extra £399 (about $500) - and so I will ensure to use my cloud storage more.

I keep wishing and hoping that this is this year or mid next year instead..... I have a late 2016 that I need to upgrade but I want to wait for the OLED. Was going to buy this year but my MBP is still running so I'll wait as long as I can.
