What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Well, 4am here on the east coast. Woke up and thought I’d check. I now have a tracking number in MyChoice with updated delivery date. Mine is shipping direct from Shanghai via UPS. Originally quoted Nov 3-5, now says Nov 1. Hopefully it picks up the pace. I need it by Friday. Current status “Clearing in Progress”. Anyone know how long the journey from Shanghai -> ANC -> SDF takes on avg? I assume it’s 24-36 hours? I believe I could potentially gain a day via the IDL too, right? 😏

Ive never done this before i have an imac with a 6tb external as a tm backup. How can i backup my pro to this?

Greeting’s all,

Most of you are asleep... It is around 12:56 AM, way past midnight in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ahhh, what an eventful day today. I’m so thrilled to announce we are seeing lots of movement and activity already. I’m also happy to announce, all my orders have been moved to “Prepared to Shipment”, including the famous Apple Polishing Cloth. Tonight two of the forum members may have been able to track down the FedEx Cargo plane which may have been containing our MacBook Pros. It contains pallet of pallets of Macbook Pro’s. Just look at the size and weight of the pallets. I have a strong feeling this FedEx Cargo Jet is indeed containing our MacBook Pro's. Bringing it over to the United States. Since I have been doing this for over a decade now, I have never seen anything like this. So, this is a very BIG deal. This is also extremely rare as the carrier partner stays very quiet and tight-lipped.

Can you imagine how much $$$ this cargo plane is carrying based on the shipment weight?

Folks that have not received any type of shipment tracking #. Don't worry, today is your way. I suspect everyone to receive a tracking number. Everyone who is promised an October 26th delivery date is expected to receive a tracking number. 100% guaranteed. This is not a speculation, estimate, or any type of a guess. Rest assured, you will be granted a tracking number. I really hope the tracking number populates overnight. If not, it will occur in the morning or during the day. It is going to be a very busy day. We don't have much time left. Madness is just about to begin...

Apple should come up with a line of energy drinks targeting their major launches, call it iWake or something.

Well, my MacBook went to „prepare for shipping“ last night (pleasant thing to see after waking up on a Monday morning…)
Timeframe was Nov 3rd-8th in Germany/Europe… so I think I can reasonably hope I‘ll get it Nov 3rd…
I am happy to finally see some movement…

Interesting. My 14” BTO shipped from China on Saturday via DHL but no other updates since. Still says ETA 03/11
 
My mid level stock 14" was just received by DHL here already in Singapore. Given the size of the country and my spot in it, it's likely no more than 15 miles from me already. Hopefully will see it tomorrow morning!

They must have had dedicated stock for Singapore, as the ordering didn't go live until like 2 days after the rest of the world (rumor is RF certification delays), but was still able to score launch day arrival.

Lots of updates from the UK this morning!

Launch day stock is already in the country and people are getting local courier (DPD) notifIcations this morning.

BTOs with expected dates ranging between 29oct - 10nov have started shipping from Shanghai with DHL or UPS.

Mine was due 4-8th but arriving via UPS on the 29th!

Now that’s service!

Of note. My MagSafe charging cable shipped but there’s no tracking info via apples own UPS link. The laptop shows processing for delivery tomorrow. I’ve been charged for both.

They must have it staged close by.

9 am eastern I believe review embargo ends. We should learn a lot today in the meantime.

Why are you ordering another MagSafe cable? You already get one with your mac.
