I think they'd have an event, despite what they did for the ibook > macbook change.

If we don't see invites Tuesday, I'd be worried. But still a little hopeful for the 14th.

The 14th could also be the invite day.

correcting...

No, Thanksgiving is on November 25th, correct me if I am wrong.

Well, you wanted to be corrected if you were wrong... so you're wrong.

Thanksgiving is one of those floating holidays, not necessarily tied to a certain date so much as a certain day. Thanksgiving, in the US at least, is always on the fourth Thursday in November. Doesn't matter what the date is, as long as it is on the fourth Thursday.

Here's an idea, what if jobs is so pissed about everything getting leaked for the Rock event, this time, invitations have already been sent out, but the press can't admit they've been invited to anything? Apple seems to love NDAs now, so why not try to apply them to the press? They already "embargo" things...

Then the end of Apple. :D

Apple will not end just because the notebooks are released a few weeks later than expected by a small community of rumour-followers. Most people who will be buying a Macbook (Pro) soon wil have no idea that new notebooks are on their way. Apple will continue to sell the current product line until it sees fit.

Took it just a little too literally.

hey, that was the situation maybe during the summer.

Now, it's different : if you go to an apple store, he just have a few macbooks wich means they dont have much stock anymore. Besides, the last time I went, the guy told me to not buy because new macbooks are on their way.
That mens that the average consummer is not buying anymore because he knows that new macbooks will arive soon

Everybody who is interested in buying a mac knows that its not a great time

I have a feeling that we will not see invitations on Tuesday.

But the last time I had this type of feeling I was wrong. :D

i havee the same feeling to.
i think apple will not have an event this time.
its too soon, isnt it? after the lets rock event?

Right, whoever buys a Mac laptop now did not do their "research" unless they really really need it. :D

exactly when you buy a 1k machine(thats the least), you can take five minutes to google it and you will know soon enough that now is a bad time for buying

For the people who dont need it, but want it, and it doesnt release until macworld, theres probably a percentage of those people who would be willing to wait an additional 4 months for the free ipods next summer lol...

What would really be funny is if MWSF comes and goes without updates. :p
