hello, sorry if ghere was this question before but is not the 14yh of october a thankgiving in the ua und this is a holiday and nobody works on holiday and when noone is working no one can release the nwe mbp please tell me i am wrong

No, Thanksgiving is on November 25th, correct me if I am wrong.

Probably not. NVidia probably sorted the problems already.

Maybe, but they have an uncertain future liability in respect of the cards already out there; there still seems to be little consensus on how great the problem really is.

Given nVidia's recent problems with their graphics cards, and that they have a potentially very large future liability in that respect, which may pose financial problems for them, does anyone think that Apple moving to them for chipsets could be a rather risky move?

You make a good point but there's also a big advantage to nVidia, which is that they offer much better graphics performance than Intel's Montevina platform does. I would guess that Apple views the balance as in nVidia's favor.

Thanksgiving in the U.S. is November 27 this year. (And, by the way, on the day after Thanksgiving - "Black Friday" - Apple traditionally offers significant discounts on their products. I bought the iPod Classic in the Black Friday sale last year, and this year it could be one of the new Macbooks. :) )

I really like the form-factor of the current MacBook range. I have owned both colours and I honestly think that it is one of the best designs that an Apple portable has ever had. I look forward to new models, but don't expect me to give up my old MacBook any time soon :)

J.
