Just phoned TNT again. They really do give out some rubbish. This is what the tracker says:

Though according to the man at TNT, it hasn't arrived in Northampton yet. He tells me that 'Consignment Received At Transit Point', doesn't actually mean it's arrived.

I'm confused.

I think yours WILL be in northampton, as my tracker is exactly the same, except for a few minutes, and when i pgoned they sai it was, but i agree bloody useless:mad:

From my experience buying various desktops/laptops from Apple UK in the past few years(all ordered online), it has always reached me 1 working day after it reaches Northampton. So you can expect your macbook tomorrow with some certainty :) Btw, I am in the same boat as you, my macbook reached Northampton today.

Well... for your sake and ours, I really hope that happens.. :D Would be a killer wait if you know it could have been in your hands during the weekend if you weren't away... :(
 
On a side note, the ETA on Apple's order status site changed from the 1st of June to the 31st of May today, kinda would've expected more considering K&N's ETA changed from the 30th to the 24th.
 
Just as a diversion to pass the time, if anybody has any extras in their order coming via Flextronics you can check this page https://www.iec-logistics.com/apps/tracktrace/trk_tracking.asp (you have to use explorer - it doesn't like Safari) put in Europe for Region your 80.. number and APP for apple. It only shows as the initial date created for me - on the 18th May, but if this changes it may be an indication that the Macbooks are imminent!
 
I propose, after all this bother with the delivery of our MacBooks, that we make an online petition to Apple to get TNT to shape up or 'ship out' (forgive the pun). Like an online vote, Should Apple keep TNT or look into a better service? :eek:
 
the Western zoo, i can see that you live in Århus, Denmark like me, and thursday is a holiday here in Denmark, so i dont think TNT will deliver that day :-( :confused:

Yesterday I had a chat with one of the customer service people at the Apple Store. We talked about the quality of TNT's operations. I told him about, for example, the time they said noone was in and my Austrian landlady took it as a slight on her honesty and integrity and proceeded to harangue them by telephone and accuse them of being too lazy to climb the stairs instead!

He countered that in the time he had worked for Apple (about a year) he had found them to be no worse than the other carriers, if not slightly better.

arh... didn't think of that... well guess that means I'll get it tuesday at the earliest... now my only hope is that TNT are unholy people that delivers on holydays!! guess my chances are very slim indeed...! :rolleyes:

I bought two. I couldnt resist.

The thought of 1GB memory!! - haven't found any bad reviews for this memory either, the cheapest I could find it from a non ebay store was £40.

Dont worry were in this togehter as well I bought a 1gb stick of ADATA memory from that buyer as well, I'll see how it works and if it works well I'll order another and bump my MB to 2gb if neccecary....

If it doesn't work I'll return it or sell it on eBay again,

Just thought I would add a Canucks experience...

Ordered May 17 (with education discount): Black Macbook, 1GB RAM, 120 GB HD

I used FedEx expedited shipping, and so far:

May 21, 2006 3:27 PM
Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN 8:32 AM
Arrived at FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN

Departed FedEx location ANCHORAGE, AK 2:11 PM
Arrived at FedEx location ANCHORAGE, AK 2:18 PM
Left origin SUZHOU CN 11:36 AM
Picked up SUZHOU CN Package received after FedEx cutoff 10:06 AM
Package data transmitted to FedEx

It was a holiday up in Canada yesterday, so maybe that whats causing the delay, or maybe its customs

Estimated Delivery: May 25

Here hoping...:)

Nope they never called back, I will get onto them tommorow morning, my tracker still ahsn't updated hopefully our MB's will be on a flight to Europe tommorow.....

I am in this too. I bought a 1 GB stick from the seller too to go to 1.25 GB (ordered 512 MB from Apple). I didn't buy 2 since: I can't afford it right now, and I don't want to waste ANOTHER £40.97 if it doesn't work out.

But we will see how it goes. Shipping is 11 days apparently and mine has shipped. MacBook arrives (fingers crossed) tomorrow so I will have a week and a half with the 512 MB.
