MacBook Shipping Times

Seems like mine is in Amsterdam aswell, they claim they are having problems with the online trackers (at least some of them) not updating......So according to TNT mine is on schedule to be delivered on Tuesday....

Its gonna be a long Bank Holiday weekend.....

I called TNT too. She don't know exactly where it is, prolly it's still in China she said She's goint to sent a mail to China what's going on, and she will call me back then. However, it will be after this weekend i think

I'll have to agree with you on that one. TNT said that its been shipped from Amsterdam today, so that means Tuesday delivery. I think ours must have been on the bottom of the pile in Pudong. First in, Last out.

Arrived!

Mine has just arrived and I am currently installing iWorks. I am typing this on my Windows machine which now looks so rubbish compared to the Mac. I have no issues with the machine - no dead pixels (that I can see), no plastic covers which need removing - in short it looks fantastic and I can't wait to get to know it properly!

i dont know, but i'm sitting here and orange trucks keep going past my window, but none of them TNT, almost taunting me, so far i've had nobbys snacks, evening standard and some odd orange truck which i did not catch the logo on.

I think the initial delay due to a technical problem with an airplane a week ago has had a bad domino effect on all orders processed since then. I believe our computers are still in China and will probably ship on Saturday.. With some luck we might get them late next week.

lol, i rang them up yesterday and she told me quite abruptly that my parcel was not in the country yet. so unless it got in sometime yesterday aternoon (and the tracker hasn't updated), its not looking promising for today

It's here and it's great!!! Much better than expected even... the attention to detail is amazing on this machine... couldn't be much more perfect. Not too hot, even after running a couple of HD 1080 movies and no whining, mooing or other odd noises.. the fans didn't even come on during HD!! No dead pixels either! Couldn't be happier... I really hope you get yours soon!! Oh yeah, did I mention I'm typing on it now...

Anyone who buys this machine will love it (especially when there are no problems with it whatsoever like mine ). Have fun with your new machines guys and girls... I know I will!!

Is still what my tracker sais, but i just got off the phone with our local TNT people nd they knew better.
Apparently my Macbook got to amsterdam rather quickly but then got some delays there. And it has just today shipped from Amsterdam to Wommelgem (final stop before "Out for Delivery"). But it won't get there before the weekend and they won't let me go and pick it up :'(.
I guess ill have to wait until monday.

For all those other people that apparently haven't had an update in so long: tracker is simply dead.

Just an update on my first impressions... this machine absolutely flies!! It's a difference like night and day between my iBook G4 1.33 with a gig of ram. Also... the screen is amazing! No noticeable glare and extremely bright... not a bad thing to say about it yet. Oh yeah... Front Row is extremely responsive... much better than expected. You are all in for a great treat! It makes the experience of OS X just that much better.

I second that absolutely! And as a first time Mac user (apart from playing with them in stores of course) I couldn't be more happy. I think this machine is going to be a great introduction to the world of Mac and I suspect that an imac may be next, when they have a speed bump and ship with Leopard of course!

MacBook in Enfield

Just got confirmation that MacBook is in Enfield, I changed the delivery to Cambridge, apparently it takes a day to get here so I should be able to pick it up myself tomorrow from the nearby depot as they dont deliver until Tuesday I will be on their case tonight to see if the MacBook arrives but I think by the looks of it it travels during the evening rather than the morning..that sucks!
