First impressions of the bundle: all fine for the price, except Tales of Monkey Island needs a fix as it won't even launch on Leopard 10.5.8. The problem seems to be fairly widespread. Also, registering CoverScout requires you to open an account. For now at least, I have no intention of doing so. Otherwise, well pleased!

What's your issue with opening an account on equinux? It doesn't cost anything.

Use a throw-away email address and fake identification info (address, name, etc) if you're concerned about privacy or spam.

True, I could do what you say, but it's the app I'll probably use the least anyway. Besides the principle of being forced to open an account, the extra hassle just didn't seem worth my time. Maybe later. ;)

In Rip It you can, in preferences, tell it to not save as a dvdmedia file. Then you will just get the video_ts folder. It also compresses the movie to a mp4 or ipod file but I haven't tried that yet. Overall, it's a simple program but it works and seems to be supported by its developers.

You can also Show Package Contents on the .dvdmedia file and extract the VIDEO_TS folder as well.

RipIt is the only application out there (for Mac OS X) that can successfully strip the DRM from ALL of my DVDs. If RipIt misses one, you notify the company and in the next update, it is fixed. I use RipIt and VisualHub (discontinued) to get it to the format I need. An Automator script performs the conversion automatically once RipIt has copied my DVD.

Mac the Ripper has problems Macrovision's RipGuard protected discs and some Sony ARccOS protected discs. Even the latest MTR betas have problems with all RipGuard discs.

Handbrake is not meant to decrypt DVD copy protection, only to encode unprotected media. Very seldom do I come across a disc that I'm able to directly rip and encode in Handbrake.

just ordered it- but had a heck of a time getting it to go through- and could not get the twitter thing to work- will try again later- hopefully I can still do it tomorrow if it doesn't work tonight.

We'll probably be shutting down the tweetblast shortly after the sale ends, but as long as it's a reasonable time after the sale ends (within a week or so?), if you send in a support ticket as a bundle customer we should be able to help you out. (macheist.com/support)

Just did that- I tried with both firefox and Safari-

thanks for keeping tabs on this thread so well!

hmmm... widespread? My macbookpro 2.53 with 10.5.8 didnt realize this.
[Just finished playing the game yesterday - quite fun with the integrated video clips for the storyline]

Dont know, perhaps repair permissions... [Download, repair permissions, try it out]. Hope things work out, maybe there will be an update to address any issues. [I have emailed them about game play 'bugs']

Peace

Flow doesn't do synchronization.

Pretty piss poor in an FTP app that's reckons "you’ll immediately notice the difference from any other outdated file transfer app."

It's great that you & others haven't had this issue. However, it's certainly affecting more than a few people as there's a thread on the Telltale Games forum about it about 6 pages long (last time I checked yesterday).

Also the developer acknowledges there's a problem affecting some Mac owners, mostly it seems with Leopard 10.5.8, & to their credit they're actively working on a fix.

Thanks for the advice. I'll repair permissions when I've time later tonight & shall post back if it's worked.

Hello guys,
I'm not sure my post goes against this forum rules so if so please delate it.

Is anyone interested to sell his/her RapidWeaver License?
I have just discovered today that there was this nanoBundle and perhaps someone who got it is not interested in this particular application.

Please send me a Private Message to go forward.

Thanks.

Sorry to say that repairing permissions didn't work for me, but thanks anyway.

Yeah, it's a hassle for something you'll likely not use.

I only use two or three of the bundle apps anyways, myself.

I assume you worked on this project- if so, this is the reply I received after putting in a ticket last night as you suggested.....frustrating when there could have been a simple solution about making sure your tweets are open to all to read.

Here is the response from MacHeist support:

You might have had your Tweets protected, in which case we wouldn't have been able to see the Tweet. Unfortunately, the promotion has ended and it's not possible to get those programs at this time. Sorry you missed out on the freebie apps.

UPDATE- They added the three apps after I noted this thread and the response I got. Thanks phillryu

Update on said problem: no doubt Telltale Games will provide a fix, but for me at least simply upgrading to Snow Leopard 10.6.2 has sorted it! :) BTW, for anyone who still has doubts, IMO, SL well recommended.
