Tryed to install BigSur 11.3Beta3 via OCLP 0.0.14 on MacPro 4.1(flashed to 5.1) and get freeze on nmve errors on second fase after reboot. And get the issues with self rebooting - long time stay on black screen (i switch off power cord to power off and then start manually, 11.2.2 - same issue ) - after than i got back to native bootloader and all works fine. I used OCLP 0.0.13 for complete install other fases and it done. Self reboot issues present in 0.0.13 build of OCLP to.
0.0.14 work Night Shift and AppleTV (sound but no picture - red fill)
I think its a good work and greate thanks for developers of this project.
Waiting for next releases.

Hello, I have similar problems with my Mac Pro 5.1. The 11.3 Beta 1 could still be installed without any problems, but since then neither the 11.3 Beta 2 nor the 11.3 Beta 3 have been installed. Either the computer freezes during the installation, or the installation runs, but the system cannot boot it.

greetings

OCLP 0.0.14 is out offering to disable verbose and some other add ons. Did no test it myself.
Whoever is using OCLP can try it out without touching the Big Sur installation. Of course please keep your running former EFI to put it back in case something does not work as planned.
Thank you, Ausdauersportler! It works well, but you have to make some important clarifications for people like me who, while fussy and examining the details... nevertheless do not pay attention to some important things.

1) The version of OpenCore-patcher.app (Mac application) indicated as "Latest" to download is 0.0.14, but if you do "Get Info" it says 0.0.12. When you start Terminal, however, Terminal, at the top, says it's version 0.0.14

2) The MAIN version, on the other hand, is already 0.0.15 with further changes and improvements. Therefore it is better to use this version.

I foolishly did ten reboots, reapplying Patcher 0.0.14 or 0.0.15 each time and recreating the EFI, BEFORE realizing that option 4 was added to disable Verbose mode and that if I didn't intervene first with this Option... the Verbose mode would continue ... :(

Instructions correct and suitable for Newbie
My indications concern the 27'' iMac late 2013. For other Macs, therefore, it will also be necessary to intervene on options 2-5. But don't ask me how, kindly, as I don't know how to answer you.

Simply download the OCLP 0.0.15 ZIP file from https://github.com/dortania/Opencore-Legacy-Patcher.git -> CODE -> "Download ZIP", unzip it and run "OpenCore-Patcher.command"

At this point, running Patcher 0.0.15 in Terminal, you must first choose the option 4. Patcher Settings and from here you can set
1. Enable verbose mode (currently true) to -> false
In my case, for my Mac, I left
2. Enable OpenCore DEBUG: currently false
3. Enable Kext DEBUG: currently false
4. Always assume metal GPU: currently false
5. Always assume updated Wi-Fi: currently false

Obviously, I set option 1 to -> False and restarted the Mac.
Magically, the Verbose mode has disappeared :)

IMPORTANT! Obviously, once this is done, from the main Patcher window it is necessary to execute Option 1 to recreate a new Build and the Option 2 to transfer the new EFI to disk.
I put the EFI on the EFI Partition of "Macintosh HD" disk, but for safety, I also transferred it to the installation USB Key

Just upgraded Macbook Pro 15" 2012-Mid (10,1) from 10.15.7 to 11.2.2 with the help of latest OCLP (OCLP 0.0.15?).
(upgraded to BCM94360CSAX before).
Everything took about 1 hour without any problem. Installed EFI to hard disk.

I publicly thank Ausdauersportler for giving me the courage to switch from micropatcher to OpenCore. It is thanks to him that I have now become an OpenCore fan!

Thanks to OpenCore my iMac 27'' late 2013 has resumed working as if it were officially supported and therefore all the Boot Options work (Recovery Mode, Safe Mode, etc ...). And since I have installed the EFI in the EFI partition of the System disk (Macintosh HD), I even tried to reset the NVRAM to the sound boot (CMD + ALT-Option + P + R) and the Mac it booting regularly!

Furthermore, with micropatcher the Terminal, in Recovery Mode, doesn't allowed me to see the various Volumes (with OpenCore allow!) and terminal, now, allow me to access them. I even enjoyed deleting all the Caches (in Macintosh\ HD/private/var/folders/ , other Caches and Logs in Library and My_Home/Library/Cache/ etcetera) and the Mac booted up fine.

Obviously, being able to access Recovery Mode normally, also the "csrutil" command is recognised and works in Terminal, in case we want to disable the SIP.

I have created and attach here a useful PDF for Italian users who want to try their hand at OpenCore Legacy Patcher.

DISCLAIMER.
Anyone who reads must take all responsibility independently. I do not consider myself responsible in any way for any damage to your Systems and / or any errors contained in the PDF which, however, I have tried to verify and correct with great care.

I translated the instructions of the official OpenCore page (I honestly incorporated the link of the page in the title of the document) and I adapted the screenshots of the official page (which date back to the old version 0.0.11) to the new version of OpenCore Patcher 0.0.15 which offers new opportunities. For example: option number 4 was added to customize your system. In my case, I have turned off Verbose mode and show a clip with the deactivation done.

Have you patched the iMac after OTA upgrade, again?

Sorry, but I do not need logs, I need to know what you have done exactly to achieve this situation.

yeah I patched after ota.
2011 iMac, sleep problem:

You messed up the installation of extension and the usage of opencore. Either use --nikey22 and stay without OC and do not use this flag and use opencore. You cannot have both.

I asked for what you did and not what you have!

don't know what you mean. I didn't use --nikey22. I used install-opencore and after installation patched + config-opencore. installed OTA update(s) and repatched with --2011 because I already had iMac Pro spoofing active

[icode--2011[/icode] was a mistake, unpatch using -u, reboot and use [icode--model=iMac12[/icode]

Used the same USB on my MBP 9,2 and it boot loops now. 🤦
Cloned my 11.2.2 from the 2012 Air and the 2012 Pro was going again. Tried the Automator again with 11.2.3 and it boot looped again. I decided to clone the 11.2.3 from my 2020 Air to the 2012 Pro and then used the Micropatcher USB to patch. Even with TB1 on the 12 I got 63GB cloned in 5 min. Quite easy.

Installed macOS Big Sur on my Late 2011 13" MacBook Pro using the micropatcher. Everything works fine but I've noticed battery life with Big Sur and even Catalina on these Macs is horrendous.

Used Patched Sur 1.0 to update my Macbook Pro Early to Big Sure 11.2.3 without any issues.. Great App..

Updated my mbp9,2 OTA from 11.2.2 to 11.2.3 with no problem using OCLP 0.0.13.

It rebooted 2 times showing and autoselecting an temporary "Macintosh HD" instead of the usual "Install macos" partition.
Maybe this is new in BigSur and I never noticed the name change of the default update volume...

With the third reboot, it booted normal and auto-selecting my BigSur partition. Never had to interact.

Hello Everyone, if somebody can help me I would really appreciate it, I am really desperate here.
last night I upgraded or better said try to update to 11.2.3 my cMP 5.1 via Ben Sova Patcher 1.0 and I ended up with the black screen. I never had any problems updating before but this time, no matter what I do, and how many times I try to install, I end up with the black screen. The worst thing is the fact that I don’t have a back up ( yes, I know, I’m an idiot:( ).
can somebody tell me what should I try in order to fix this? I can see the disk if I boot on Mojave, my data is all there but I no longer have a desktop if I boot on the Latest Big Sur.
I honestly appreciate any input. Thank you

See my screenshot. I took that AFTER OTA Update to 11.2.3.

- tried to unpatch, not working. ok…
- tried to "re"patch, not working. AND the patcher itself shows me to use --2011 . that's the reason why I used it in the first place. and on your github page its --2011 everywhere.

now what? how to undo every patch / OC / whatever influence to vanilla so I can redo the correct way?!

is it -- - or – or is the forum software here changing the lines from -- to –
