Not only you cannot update HomePod but in my case I can't even control the HomePod with my iMac. It never show whats playing on right now on my HomePod inside the home app.

So, other than that, the update is safe to install? No major bugs like 13.2 with external blu rays or usb c hard drives ?

this is definitely new... interesting...🤔. But I don't see the "automatically dim video when flashes of light or strobe effects are detected" in the accessibility tab, is it an exclusive option only on arm processors? 🤔...

When I turn on or reboot my MacBook Pro M1 and I login, my Desktop appears as expected but some seconds later the screen becomes black for about 1 second (then it goes back to normal). Is anyone else affected?

Anyone else experiencing handoff not working at all, as well as continuity camera not working except when the iPhone is plugged via USB?
Found someone else with the same issue on Reddit:
Iphone 12 on iOS 16.4 and MacBook Air M1 on macOS 13.3.

Everything on the same network, and handoff seems to work fine on my iPad (15.7.4) when I use Safari on the iPhone, which makes me think that this is a macOS related issue.

well, animations feel slower on my Intel Mac... Good job Apple.
never experienced that in ventura (on my intel macbook or intel imac). maybe... there's something worth troubleshooting? and apple hasn't purposely ruined your mac experience? 🤔

I think I started to notice Continuity Cam issue (need to plug via USB) when I update my iPhone to 16.4 beta.

I just updated to 13.3. I'm finding that finder is unable to render any pictures in preview. I have a number of folders of photos in User>Pictures>Folders, and view with columns or gallery mode. Right now, all photos are showing as files, but when I select one, I only get the spinning wheel. It's unable to render any. I restarted my computer, it rendered two images in a list of many, then froze up again and won't render any (including those two that just worked). Am I alone seeing this?

i reported this to apple several times, it's an issue with quicklook. if it happens, open activity monitor, do a search for quicklook, and force-quit the item in red. this is a workaround for now.

it's been an issue sporadically for me for a while, hope it gets sorted with the next update. for now... try the above.

Thank you so much. This absolutely worked to get things rolling again. If it keeps up, I have my temp solution.

And now it is working fine this morning, without me changing anything. And now, as well, my iPhone shows as a personal hotspot in my Mac wifi while it wasn't yesterday.
At the end, I'm wondering if maybe that was just some iCloud issues (wouldn't be the first time...).

Well, they change the "show tabs preview" animation in Safari, making it slower and more complex, the difference is subtle. I can imagine the animation feels good on M-series Macs, but it's just choppy on my intel Mac. It's a design choice, and I guess Apple is making small changes to utilize graphic power of M-series Macs and, push me to buy their new Macs.
They Wish.

Actually, I spoke too soon, it just stop working randomly during the day.

But as someone told me on Reddit, turning the Bluetooth off and back on does fix it. So, if you have issues with handoff and/or continuity camera, try this.

Previews Stop Rendering in Finder started happening for me this morning; everything was good last night.

I just got off the phone with Apple Support, and they took some screenshots (including the spinning wheel with no rendering and where I forced quit the QuickLookUIService (Finder) process within Activity Monitor), and opened a case.

Also, I shared my multiple fix attempts, including those listed above. Plus what's in this article: https://www.guidingtech.com/top-ways-to-fix-preview-not-working-on-mac/ - including a reinstall of Ventura on my 2022 MacBook Air M2. All to no avail.

If I get a solution from my Apple Support Case, I'll post it on here.

Same here. I had continuity issues on a multi user Mac since its inception, I spent almost 6 months back and forth via email with an apple engineer, they finally got it right with the last release of Monterey before Ventura. Today with 13.3 it is broken again, not working at all. They are honestly a bunch of idiots.

First bug i found on 13.3: after update, all my user fonts are borked. They are still in the font book, but somehow apps do not see them and default to some random system fonts. I had to delete then reinstall them
