First bug i found on 13.3: after update, all my user fonts are borked. They are still in the font book, but somehow apps do not see them and default to some random system fonts. I had to delete then reinstall them
Not a bug, since my user fonts are all fine...

The 'file not found' issue is still present - which is Venturas version of the files not opening via double click when you change the enclosing folder from Monterey. How is this STILL present after 3 updates of Ventura and the entirety of Monterey's lifespan? It's basic functionality.

I'm also seeing choppy animations the likes of which I've not seen since the early days of Yosemite.

The energy saver scheduler is still missing, so my Mac still boots up and shuts down at my set times wether I like it or not and I can't change it as they've removed the feature for absolutely NO REASON.

The system settings have gone from a clean interface into looking like a ten year old android tablet.

Personally I think Ventura is garbage.

Actually, I spoke too soon, it just stop working randomly during the day.

But as someone told me on Reddit, turning the Bluetooth off and back on does fix it. So, if you have issues with handoff and/or continuity camera, try this.
They broke it. Again.
Turning the Bluetooth off and on fixed it for 10 minutes for me and now it just doesn’t work at all. Not even Apple Watch unlock works.

Honestly they have the worse software engineers in the world working in there.
Microsoft is running circles around Apple in terms of software in the past 3/4 years.

After spending almost a year since the first Beta on Ventura on multiple machines, I have to say that without the search-function I am utterly incapable of finding ANYthing in the system settings anymore. Changing the behaviour of F-keys, Filesharing, everything is hidden in submenus in the weirdest places. I get that you have to step away from the old style Settings, I get that it should harmonize visually with iOS, but this a really bad UX and should be reworked a bit, with multiple rows, better ways of making stuff accessible etc. After a year it‘s not me not being used to it but rather bad design of the settings. Shouldn‘t be that hard to fix, though, and much of Ventura works fine. I think it is quite a feat to update multiple platforms every year, hard- and software, deliver new features, fight the bugs and still keep the ever-growing machine working. I imagine Covid and loosing a good part of the engineers has made this much, much harder on Apple and here‘s hoping that the next years bring a focus on better performing software again.

Same here. All fonts – and we have a lot of OTF-fonts installed – work just fine On all machines. Must be something with your system, maybe clearing the font cache could help?

Hmm. I don't know what happened there. But i already reinstalled all the fonts and they're ok now. I'll keep it in mind for next update

The fonts are otf and TTF. I don't think they're anything peculiar

The thing that annoys me about search is it only takes you to the category on the right hand side without highlighting the result(s). So if the right hand side is a long scroll you still have to visually scan for what you're looking for

It's funny that Apple assumes most people have hi dpi displays now but the settings app is comically narrow. And it sucks for me i can't make the text in settings bigger. I'm aware designing a fixed UI is much much easier than a resizable, scalable one, but a trillion dollar company like Apple can do better

Interesting.
I was on the phone with Apple for weeks because Ventura couldn’t open files with a double click. They obviously told me to initialise because with my logs they couldn’t find anything wrong.

Not only Ventura is garbage, it’s the whole software coming out of there lately. With every new release there are more bugs than emojis, which tells a lot about it.

and yet so many of us are using ventura and enjoying it. that doesn't mean there aren't bugs, issues (there are always bugs...). anyway, it's not garbage on my 2 macs 👍

I just updated to 13.3. I'm finding that finder is unable to render any pictures in preview. I have a number of folders of photos in User>Pictures>Folders, and view with columns or gallery mode. Right now, all photos are showing as files, but when I select one, I only get the spinning wheel. It's unable to render any. I restarted my computer, it rendered two images in a list of many, then froze up again and won't render any (including those two that just worked). Am I alone seeing this?
Same here, im try to reinstall the update. 😖😣

Since 13.3 YouTube plays for a second and pauses... Doesn't matter what browser. Worked before update. MacBook Pro M1... Grrr...

Curious if anyone else has encountered new external HD/SSD issues since updating to 13.3.

I have had an 8TB LaCie d2 Professional since December 2019, never had any issues. Now, after updating to 13.3, it doesn't seem to be doing trash collection? I deleted some large files that should've cleared ~1.3TB of space, but according to Finder and Disk Utility app. that space remains unavailable.

Also had issues erasing a 4TB Samsung T7 Shield. Was erasing and renaming the T7 from APFS encrypted to renamed APFS encrypted. Process just went into a loop...ended up having to disconnect T7, then re-connected, erasing to EXFAT **then** reformatting it to APFS encrypted. Weird.

I haven't encountered other such complaints, so figured I'd ask here.

My machine is a late 2021 M1 Pro 16" MBP

Not seeing much feedback on 13.3 - how is it on base M1 Air?
I’m on an M1 MBP (16GB/2TB model) and honestly, for me anyway, it’s running quite well. Dare I say the best Ventura has been so far. I did just install macOS 13.3 over itself, too. No complaints here.

MacBook Pro 16 2019 ( i9 / 16GB / 1TB )

After 13.3 update the same problems/issues/bugs...

1. After restarting and opening Mail.app, it doesn't show Favorites bar. (most of the times)
2. Preview icons in third-party apps like PDF Expert/ IINA are not displayed
3. The Eject buttons for external disks is misplaced
4. Stack photos in iMessage when you open to Preview them, there is a "ghosting"

Are you surprised? 😂

With 13.3 I have an issue with SMB shares, I can't mount them in Finder or ForkLift, sometimes a reboot helps. Weirdly enough Time Machine works w/o any issues. In Finder is stucks with "Connecting…" and nothing else is happening.

Try to use "Connect to Server" instead, cmd+k in Finder. You need to type the server's IP or hostname.

Tried that also, didn't work.
This is getting me worried. I have been testing a few M2 minis for my place waiting to be deployed, and I don't see this issue (YET). We rely on SMB every single minute, I don't want my users complaining about this and want Intel Macs back.

I'm not experiencing this issue on Intel or Apple Silicon Macs. That being said, this is a Ventura OS issue, not a hardware issue.

I guess so. Though with M2 minis forced to run Ventura it is not like we got a choice, lol.

I have an M1 mini w/ my user home folder on an external drive. After updating from 13.2.1 to 13.3 logging in with my user account freezes at login displaying a never ending spinner.
