I'm guessing this only affects inbound SMB connections, not outbound? Because I've been using my SMB connections to my Linux fileserver just fine.
I've been seeing file transfers TO an SMB share taking 200% — 300% as long as pre-Ventura.

Not necessarily. Many users have expended time and money trying to fix their equipment when the problem was completely an apple caused software issue. Folks wanted some kind of backup as their preferred local system was inoperative.

I am not holding my breathe that Apple would ever consider reimbursing these unnecessary expenses and wasted time.
I would have a big savings account if Apple paid me by the hour even at minimum wage. People ask me, what do you do? I have two jobs, one of them is Apple technical support. They how cool is that. I work for free and at my expense!😎

i had to downgrade back to Monterey, so many problems with Ventura.

Wifi never worked for one.

I didn't know it's technically possible to downgrade? Is this blessed by Apple? Is it safe (especially in terms of potential firmware mismatches)? If so, how do you do this? Is it just erasing the entire drive, booting from macOS Recovery over the internet, then reinstall the oldest available OS supported by your hardware, then manually upgrade to the OS of one's choice, then restore/migrate user data from a Time Machine backup?

Good thing it wasn't just me. I was unable to stream anything to my AppleTV via VLC since Ventura.

Nice, on an optimistic side note, we can expect the finder window resizing fix for macOS 21.4

I thought is was me or a network problem. I use it like once every year and usually it just works. Glad I didn’t have time to troubleshoot. Lol

My policy is to update to the new OS when it gets to X.5 or X.6 That is why I am still on Monterey. Is the best way to have the best macOS stability and performance.

PS: I have an Intel Mac, if I would have an Apple silicon Mac I would have already updated to Ventura.

It's crap like this that proves that macOS is not a business-ready OS. There's absolutely no way that this would be allowed to be an issue for anywhere near this long in the Windows world.
The business world might not have issues with some of things being discussed. Also we still have at least 2 more beta cycles to iron out more issues mentioned if 13.3 hasn’t improved what your after. ;)

Windows has *absolutely* had Samba bugs

Anybody can confirm is this issue is still?

Enable tap to click on Setting, and try open a new safari tab with command + tap in the edge of the trackpad?

This caused me to unplug a 10tb raid drive from my Mac Studio to access the files from my mini and by using the wrong power supply I’ve completely destroyed it. Should I send the bill for that drive I’ve literally fried because of this?? 🤬🤬🤬
