macOS 14 Sonoma on Unsupported Macs Thread

I forgot to mention, that I have the latest versions of all the apps, that's why I was surprised. Anyway, I went to the electric light company's site and found a page on XPR, and older versions of Silent Knight. It looks like whatever update I got is newer than version 2.10's expectations. I was more concerned if something had gotten into my system and altered it in a bad way. However, it looks like SK needs another update based on the page I read. Thanks for the confirmation though that it's nothing wrong with my install.
You are so lost I barely can´t believe it, given your categoric answer. Try and search "OCLP" on this thread. I guess you will get more that one or two results.
I've quite often seen missing XPR-updates on different kinds of supported Macs - actually usually it would be my wife's machines. Don't know whether booting the Mac regularly would do the trick - my wife usually doesn't...
Well I left a comment about it on the electric light website hoping someone would reach out to me from there. I left my email and name I told them I couldn't find a contact link to contact them directly.
It looks to me as though the post was moved from another thread - no? Even if wasn't, I've seen other posts moved from other threads with no indication that they were moved. It would be helpful if admins who move posts place a note indicating that the post has been moved from another thread.
Hey all, was wondering if someone could please provide me a link to the about page on the Electric light company's site. HOakley responded to my comment and said his email is in the about page and I'm having trouble finding it. I've looked at the main page, and can't find it, nor can I find it on the Silent Knight page, and I can't find anything on the site that says about, so If someone who is familiar with the site could provide a link to the right page. Would appreciate it.

For the past few months I've been running a late-2013 15" MacBook Pro with MacOS Sonoma 14.5 and OCLP 1.5.0
This setup has been running flawlessly. All of a sudden, the system starting lagging and freezing (the kind where all system activity and responsiveness halts...then resume a minute or so later with a burst of activity).
I have not run any system updates (for example, I did not upgrade to Sonoma 14.6.x). I've installed no new software. The lag and freezing just...started happening.
I do have an OWC Aura Pro SSD and have heard that those might cause issues? But as I said above, mine has been running fast and flawless for months.
Any ideas for what else could have happened to cause this, please post up! I'm grateful even for clues.

How do you have SIP and SSV green? I thought they were X'd out (along with Authenticated Root status: disabled) as an artifact of OCLP.
I'm currently running a supported OS. I only asked for help here because of Silent Knight and not knowing why I had red X's in a supported OS. Now that I was able to get in touch with the right person, the issue is closed
If you read up a few posts, you'll see my initial post with the screenshot with the red X and then the process I took to take the question to the right person. This was just a thank you post and to say thanks for the help.
LOL, ah, okay. Once you guys turned me on to SilentKnight I realized I had to install a supported OS to get my firmware up to date, so I like it with fewer red X's and wanted to get rid of the ones I had if possible.
I have open core 1.5.0 installed, it's just not configured yet as the boot loader. My plan is to make sure Monterey is done so i have the latest firmware updates, and then decide what to do after that as I have one or two older apps that work, with Sonoma, but they have issues. I've been able to confirm it's a Sonoma issue, and not OCLP. I have found alternative open source apps though, that have mac versions as well as Windows and Linux which seem to work pretty well as replacements.LOL, ah, okay. XPR 142 was just released. All the red X means is that something doesn't match what Silent Knight thinks it should be. Sometimes your machine doesn't have the latest updates. In your case, your machine had the update ahead of when Silent Knight was aware of it, most likely due to the fact it was pulled and then put back up on Apple's servers.

Hi jgleigh, I also installed sonoma 14.6.1 on my mac pro 5,1 2012 mid. I am using Radeon RX-580, I got sleep / awake issue, usually a Graphic card panic related to Frame Buffer will happen when the mac is sleeping. But this problem never happened in mac os 13. I realize that now and that's why I didn't drag this out after I found out it was a known issue and just came back to let everyone know it was resolved. What I didn't mention was, I got a strange HTML file in my downloads folder a couple nights ago, not sure where it came from what what it actually had in it. I just know instead of dragging it to the trash, the mouse malfunctioned and opened the file. So I was initially concerned I had gotten malware, and that's why silent knight was showing an issue. For what it's worth, Pro Tools (2024.6) runs like a charm on my 6,1 with Sonoma. Good luck with your install
