You must have the Tab Bar visible, then right click the tab for Move to Tab Group.How do you move a website in Safari to a different Profile Group? You used to be able to just right click on the address bar and move to a different Group. I've been clicking around now for a while and can't seem to find out how to do this now.
C: The same as far as I can tell on my green M1 iMac.Can anyone with an M1 iMac previously running Sequoia confirm if the performance/feel of the computer has:
A) Worsened after upgrading to Tahoe;
B) improved after upgrading to Tahoe;
Or
C) Has remained t same after upgrading to Tahoe.
Thanks!!You must have the Tab Bar visible, then right click the tab for Move to Tab Group.
This took me a moment to discover too. Maybe it worked in the toolbar in Sequoia because of the collapsed tab view (which I miss).
Thanks! Do you mind me asking about your the specs of your model?C: The same as far as I can tell on my green M1 iMac.
Some of the betas had rough spots for sure, but 26.0 and 26.1 have been normal for me. I'm now on the 26.2 RC.
16GB 512Thanks! Do you mind me asking about your the specs of your model?
Thanks. Yeah my M1 system has the 16GB of RAM as well and know what you mean. Mostly not a showstopper for me. But I would like a way in macOS to free up the swapped memory that stays occupied even after closing the app and processes that required/triggered it. I mean.. there is a way: restarting the computer, but I would like to not have to do that in order to reclaim.16GB 512
I actually still have Sequoia on a partition because I haven’t transferred everything yet, but I’ve not perceived any performance difference when I have switched directly between the two OSes.
Honestly the real performance issue for me is the 16GB max RAM on the M1 model. I have a habit of opening tons of browser tabs across several Safari windows, while also running other things. At some point things start to stutter, until I open Activity Monitor and quit the most offensive tabs hogging the RAM. I’ve continued this habit on Tahoe as well and it’s the exact same experience as on Sequoia, no worse or better.
So for me, with plenty of RAM (like on my 24GB M3 MBA, or on 16GB without anything heavy open) it runs just fine, and with RAM constraints / my over-usage it runs just as bearable-not-great as on Sequoia. I figure this context is useful to our question as I’ve regularly pushed my M1 and am well-acquainted with its performance limits.
Yep, that is exactly what I wanted to investigate and figure out how to improve too.Thanks. Yeah my M1 system has the 16GB of RAM as well and know what you mean. Mostly not a showstopper for me. It is an option you can enable with free apps like Tinker Tool, or a Terminal command.I'm surprised after all these years they haven't implemented the auto-resizing of columns.
There is now a checkbox in View Options to enable this.It is an option you can enable with free apps like Tinker Tool, or a Terminal command.
There is? You mean a native auto-resize columns option that automatically adjusts the column width dynamically as you are diving in and out of folders?There is now a checkbox in View Options to enable this.
