I have an M2 MB Air running 26 and most things work fine including dropbox (the version mentioned in this thread - with file provider). BUT, my M1 Mac Studio is using a home folder on an external drive and I haven't been able to get Dropbox for File Provider to work, still using legacy sync. I'm guessing Mac OS 26 is a bad move on this machine? I need dropbox to work. Anybody else in my situation?

EDIT: Google Drive and OneDrive are using File Provider on my external home folder without issue, so just a Dropbox thing I guess.

I've put Logic Pro v11.2 on i9 Intel MBP and an M3 Max MBP. On both, Logic Pro hasn't done anything unexpected so far, so I'll put this at the top as a working app.

Of course, Logic is a huge eco-system of plugins, especially 3rd party plugins, and somewhere there surely will be a plugin that will do something unexpected, but there is just no way for me to regression test 1000+ plugins.

It does not. I just tested the latest Steam beta client on Tahoe, and I got the same error as before when I tried to launch a game.

Which games were you having issues with? I was just able to play both Baldur's Gate 3 and Civ7 without any errors. The app had to verify both games first, so it took a while to launch the game, but they both loaded and were very playable.

Burn 3.1.7 isn’t working properly in Tahoe beta 1

it kind of works like when i use it to convert mp4 file to mpg it does start the transcode and goes all the way to 100% but when it gets there it just hangs and won’t finish

i thought it might be a corrupted mp4 making it hang so i transcoded the same file with the same version of burn on another computer with sonoma instead - and it worked

so i reckon the mp4 isn’t to blame, but tahoe

i think they’ll have to update burn for tahoe but it hasn’t been updated for 2 years

there are many other alternatives to burn, and i know some of them work in tahoe, but i really like burn so hope a fix will come or else i’ll be stuck with using burn on the other computer with sonoma like forever

I am having issues with stormworks and don’t starve multiplayer, it will launch but within 3 or so minutes it will “crash.” I have not updated to the steam beta.

GlobalProtect apparently has problems with firewall detection.
This is what I needed to know. Past betas have broken my VPN/firewall at work, so before I installed, I was going to ask if anyone had problems with GlobalProtect. I'll watch for an update to that before updating to Tahoe.

I don't know how to do this myself but can someone add

Batfi to Not Working
Bitwarden To Working

Thanks

Stellaris was the one I tested this time. Previously I tested a few. The launchers don't seem to connect to the Steam app properly. Since Stellaris malfunctioned in the same way with the latest Steam beta, I didn't test any others before I booted back into Sequoia.

maybe this is more indicative of my having a serious addiction to menu bar apps, but I'm devastated that neither Bartender nor Ice currently work... don't tell me the only alternative is to have some restraint

am sure they'll be updated soon. what about Hidden Bar? (and wondering if anyone's running Clamshell...)

I had removed mine from the dock, but they are still in the same folder as always AND searchable by spotlight for me — both from the main Spotlight search and when I select app search.
Yes they are in the folder under User/Apps and they are now after a day or two showing in spotlight but with a Safari Logo. I reported it as a bug.
