I don't think that term means what you think it means....

AI is meant to be a tool like anything else. There is only "AI slop" if people themselves are HUMAN slop and just lazily use the outputs as the end product. If you see a person/company actually putting out "AI slop" then it just means that PERSON/COMPANY is slop since it means they aren't even taking time to tweak, check and validate the results they are getting. In short AI will just magnify the type of person/business/process that is using it.

If you put **** quality info/process into AI you get AI slop.
If you don't spend time to check, validate, clean up your AI results, you get AI slop.

in either case your results would have been sloppy, the AI just gets you from points A-B faster.

My usage refers to shoveling AI slop features (like how MS shoehorns Co-Pilot into ever aspect of the OS), and adding nothing substantive to make the OS better. Apple has gone from an technologically active company, to a reactive company... chasing the AI dream and leaving functionality behind in favor of the latest craze.

Again, I have not seen anything worthwhile in either Tahoe or Golden Gate that's convinced me to upgrade MacOS.

I just care about stability. The beta reports show that Spotlight still chokes and corrupts metadata on some Macs. MacOS 27 was supposed to be rebuilt from the core for stability, just like Snow Leopard. MacOS 26 was a disaster for my M2 MacBook Pro and my M1 iMac. Before the downgrade to macOS 15, the M2 displayed metadata corruption and APFS container corruption. I had to downgrade using my CCC backup on the M2. The TM backups on both machines inherited the corruption. My M1 is barely holding its own with unfixable Spotlight issues and corrupted metadata in macOS 26 under minimal usage. I just hope I can clean install Mac OS 27 on both machines if it is shown to be stable.
