Failed download here too, if i let the machine lock or sleep it doesn't detect the keyboard on wake.
Fantastic, 4 reboots in the last 30 mins to browse the web!!!!

Do they not expect demand or what, idiots.

OK, while this does piss me off, I don't think it has anything to do with Big Sur. It's a larger issue, which might not even be directly Apple's fault. Clearly some servers are seriously falling over, some they might not have control over. God only knows where all these data centres are and how the network is set up. Redundancy doesn't 100% cover all scenarios.

I can not install it, also my Catalina takes a long time to boot.

Apple need more efforts to load balancing their server networks traffic, especially with so many concurrent update taking on almost entire globe.

Does not download in Safe Mode. Does not matter how much bandwidth you have, or space available on you Mac. The software simply does not download / allow for upgrade to take place. I'm stopping my attempts until there is a clear signal from Apple that all is fine. I've wasted too much time assessing their problem.

We have 11.0.1 and we think Apple pulled it. All our computers at our company are experiencing Application Loading slowdowns and in some cases the computers are unusable. See our post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252030371

We had posted previously on the Apple Community and they removed it. That link is our 2nd attempt. Something isn't right?
Both my Macs have this issue as well. Disconnect from the internet and things will work again. So bizarre.

I get installation failed msg after a long download time (I don't think complete) - do I just wait until _ maybe tomorrow. Hope I don't have to restore my mac to last backup (just did before I started upgrade fortunately). Hope it resolves itself.

I didn't even attempt to do any updates and this has caused my Mac Pro to run GLACIALLY slow.

I rebooted and every app took several minutes to just load.

As soon as I unplug my ethernet cable, everything launches and works at normal speed.

Plug the ethernet back in and BAM, the whole machine is incredibly slow.

I even see the seconds on my system clock freeze for a few seconds.

This is tanking machines that aren't even trying to run an update.
