I think it's ugly, I much prefer the previous look. I don't like the floating icons in the safari toolbar, I prefer the little space around them. Also, why is the wi-fi icon a diagonal line?

anyone else experiencing static sound on their bluetooth speaker (i.e. JBL Flip 5, Bose) when Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard are connected to MacBook Pro?

I am experiencing this since Catalina. It is not fixed on Big Sur. #applehelp

Only issue I’m experiencing so far is the screen brightness bar in the control panel isn’t accurate. Put screen brightness at full and the bar will sometimes be all the way, sometimes a bit short, etc.

ive also noticed that Apple hasn’t fixed the full screen streaming flickering where you need to uncheck the “optimize streaming “ to get it to go away

I’ve always played around with the idea of an iPad (pro level maybe) being able to plug into a TV and switching over into macOS mode. Or some scenario where it converts from iPadOS to macOS. (Maybe if you connect a keyboard and a mouse?) I feel like it’s getting closer to that every update. Probably won’t ever happen but it’s interesting to think about.

I'm more in the 'how am I supposed to print or scan documents' category (not limited to Apple, I have the same problem with Android/Chrome), even though a Samsung DeX kind of solution is also tempting.

Yes! Apple without a touch computer/laptop seems to be limping along ok.

A couple years ago I tried Microsoft Surface and Surface Studio in a local Microsoft Store. I was intrigued with the Surface Studio, but after using it for half an hour discovered I'd be frustrated using it 90% of the time with it getting in the way, and the display not being anywhere close to Apple's in terms of visual quality. I found the Surface fatiguing using the "feature" that makes it unique. So.... A nope for both.

Errrrrr... I mentioned 360-degrees laptops (such as the HP Spectre x360 13) and you talk about MS Surface & Surface Studio, which are not a 360-degrees laptop.

Those new icons are plain ugly. The flat design was awesome, MUCH more modern looking. Those icons look like they were designed 30 years ago, with all those ugly shadows. Doesn't make Big Sur look modern at all.

The improvements offered by the update could have been done without screwing up the design... Why would you change something that works...

I love the design, but performance is incredibly sluggish for me. Even the latency while typing this message is crazy and my fan has been suspiciously busy in the past 24 hours. This is on a 16 inch MBP from February.

Maybe you machine is indexing after the upgrade?

My Siri button on the TouchBar is non functional. Anyone else having this? Also occasionally I get a black background on a portion of the top title bar near the time.

Same here....stays black until I try it but it still functions. Button give a partial vertical line when I use it....

Not sure what you mean, you can scan documents on iPadOS and iOS. And you can print from both too?

I'm wondering if perhaps that'll resolve once Apple's servers sort themselves out.

For example, the Translate function in Safari wasn't showing some hours ago but it's up and working now, I can even translate this page into Spanish, although I'm not sure about it translating my screen name 🤣. It's still not available in Safari on my iPhone though.

I can't see the Charge to Full Now option in the battery icon, nor is the binoculars icon active in Maps, even in Edinburgh as per the illustration.
