  • Updates might not show up in Settings as soon as it releases if you have Rosetta 2 installed. This is due to Apple not releasing Rosetta at the same time as macOS 27 Betas. Please wait up to an hour before you will be able to update.
  • If you are encountering a memory management issue (eg. a Memory Leak), please provide what app/process it is coming from (Using Activity Monitor) and what you were doing in that app.
  • macOS 27 will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this, as the update won’t install with an installer.

Installing now... waiting to see if this fixes bug that prevents disabling SIP and/or startup security...

With limited testing, nothing has stood out as new to me.

Music UI is still awful.

System Settings is still illogical.

Performance is good except for large lists of icons stuttering under the tab pill in Finder. Apple’s been mucking about with transparency for over a quarter of a decade. This should be easy by now.

The UI is still a mix of all of Apple’s designs. I don’t foresee Apple making any big changes. Golden Gate is paralyzed in its current state because the macOS UI is now tied to whatever nonsense is happening with its other operating systems.

Better than Tahoe, worse than Sonoma. Happy to be wrong by official release.

What bug is that?
Boot Picker has been rewritten for GG. I have an M2 Ultra Mac Pro with four startup disks; three are on NVME SSDs. Startup Disk only sees the one OS27 disk on the Apple SSD. I also have a Backup OS27 SSD and two OS26 SSDs. Those three bootable disks do not appear in Startup Disk. Nor do they appear under Startup Options at startup.

Thanks for that info, looks like they have some work to do.... But on my MBA M2 13" laptop, iy seems very stable for an early beta. I will probably switch over completely once it is released in the fall. For now, my main driver is Sequoia 15.7.8 RC2. Thought there may be an update to that soon.

They added back the shortcuts to applications, files, shortcuts and clipboard to the Siiri AI interface when hitting cmd+space. This restores the unified spotlight/App Library feature introduced in macOS 26.
