Not me.

That sounds like a router which is doing "channel optimisation" and switching the 5G channel while your device sleeps.

Or you haven't disabled "Private Wi-Fi address" for your home network, so when you come out of sleep, it's generating another random MAC address and confusing your router.
Could be router related but this never happened on previous betas or Tahoe, just V2 of B3.

That's quite the laundry list of issues that you're having.

I'm curious if you installed overtop of Tahoe or other previous OS or restore from a TM backup?

Myself, I installed it "setup as new" and then just migrated my files etc over after.

I did have some weird glitch with things having connection issues in B1. It was so bad I went back to Tahoe for a bit.

Since installing B2 like that everything has worked. System settings stay as I set them, no issues with the App Store, can't speak for Music or Books but Mail, Messages, Stocks, Notes, Photos etcetera all work as expected. In addition I have no 3rd party software not functional currently. And some of those didn't play nice with Tahoe. B3 & B3v2 just installed without adding any problems so far.

Maybe you should wipe it and install as new if that wouldn't be a show stopper for your daily life.

I finally found what was causing all this and now it's fixed. 🙂

It was a new feature of a formerly Safari-only content blocker what I don't even need on my Mac and also never paid to activate that new feature. I just installed the latest update three days ago and decided to open the app for whatever reason and saw this:

Screenshot 3.png

But the problems had been there before.

Not sure if it didn't show up here before the latest update I installed or if I overlooked it. It normally shouldn't have it's own category. It feels like I never saw this before although I had been in the extensions settings a few days ago to disable some stuff.

Both were on :

I don't think I installed all those updates. Bust I must have installed the update from about two weeks ago directly before updating to Beta 3. At least it all started after the installation of Beta 3 had been finished. I often update every app to the latest version while the macOS update is still downloading or preparing.

Screenshot 9.png

I definitely had noticed it, if it was together with AdGuard and Little Snitch in the category Network Extensions. Both are also in the Network Settings / Filters & Proxies.

Yeah, TBH if you start stacking Ad Blockers & extensions you're in for trouble.

I don't run snitch, so can't comment there, but think I did see some comments of issues with it on the beta.

Adguard has become so bloated & Wipr is loved by many, but not me.

Glad to hear you have fixed some of your issues.

Anyone facing issues with the Betas (across all 3 versions) in Mail, when used with MS Exchange/Office 365?

Emails received fin, but sent items are not synced across other devices; and remain only on the device they are sent from.
Also, moving any emails to different folders do not sync across other devices or on the server.
Seems only the Inbox folder syncing is taking place.

16" M1 Max idling at <3W and 44°C (with no fans) is impressive for a first public Beta, and GB6 reports best ever SC/MC scores on this machine (with Metal GPU scoring same as Tahoe 26.6), so it's goodbye already to Tahoe, I won't be reverting to the backup:

Yes! I had this issue in previous betas. After few days I get message about Moving message(s) and sync with Exchange stopped working. I need to remove Envelope* in Maildata folder and then start syncing.

But for me Beta 3 R2 seems fixed it (as for now).

I have run into more issues with this beta than ever before on any dev beta i have tried. I have a shortcut widget I regularly use and it's 50-50 on whether or not the entire Mac freezes and needs a hard reboot when I execute it. I also have random apps that have certain buttons or controls that randomly are un-clickable for no reason, literally requiring a reboot to get the functionality back (exiting or killing off the app doesn't fix it). This has happened multiple times each day since I installed the latest version. I get it's a beta and it's not on a mission critical device but this is painful.

I deleted the Envelope* files, but Sent Items still does not sync, neither do other folders. Only InBox syncs...

I will try (after a backup) deleting the whole Data folder and then check...

Is there an obvious beta update schedule for GG? Are we looking at a new beta version every week? or two times a month? With my simple use case, Office apps, browser and mail, my M2 MBA has few non-working apps, making it almost primetime ready. One app I use often is developed on the Xojo Development Tool, which has not been updated yet to work with GG. Waiting for that to change.

Typically they update every two weeks. Beta 2 and 3 are always the worst ones. Then they start refining the builds from there.

I would say the worst bug that still exists is the Time Machine data corruption. I am hoping that one is fixed in beta 4. If it is, I’d say this is good enough to run on a daily driver device.

With that said, they could release an update tat instantly bricks your device. So always have backups and don’t do an update right before you may need the computer. lol.

Good advice, that last part is. Obvious, but easy to forget.

I briefly read that random Reddit thread you linked about this so-called Time Machine corruption.

I don't even think this "bug" exists. There appears to be no mention of such a problem here at all except you mentioning it.

One person on Reddit trying to start a panic thread because something went wrong for him.

Doesn't seem to be any testing of the person's backup hardware, which could easily be faulty and the cause.

I tested backing up to an old spinner HDD and an older SSD over the past couple days and both completed without issue. I can browse all backups and there are no corrupted files.

This is why I would never use Reddit for accurate information.

I linked that from the thread here on MacRumors that was talking about it. I asked Claude if there was any new information and it spit this out. I take all these reports with a grain of salt. I just pay attention to them just in case. I run the betas on my daily drivers, so I’m not to worried. I did pause TM until 4 comes out.

That's odd. I have multiple Apple & 3rd party apps up in the menubar, and all function & update as expected.

However, I don't "hide" the menubar, so maybe that could be glitchy?
i definitely don’t hide anything i turned off everything in the menu barand still same weird issue. I just think it’s just a weird quirk on my specific setup

Yes I know the post now. I did see it before.

One person is talking about Disk Utility giving some weird errors. Then a second guy links to a Reddit thread that kinda has zero to do with what the other guy said, and claims a TM data corruption bug.

No offence meant, but AI can be stupid, since it is just quoting the completely unsubstantiated Reddit thread.

But if waiting until B4 to have a current backup makes you sleep better, awesome. 🤣

Odd.

I currently have Stats Panel > Parcel > PIA >Weather >Cookie >TM > Battery >WiFi > Passwords > Control Panel > Siri and Date/Time, and all are functioning/updating.

The only weird thing I notice is if I click on some to open the drop down, it won't close by clicking again.

I have to click away from it on another area of the menubar to get it to disappear. Somewhat annoying. Not all behave like this so probably an individual app issue.
