Fixed for me:

* A shortcut I have which backs up shortcuts was failing on one of my shortcuts - one which sends an iMessage to someone. This works now.

* AMPDevices.framework was using 100% of CPU and staying there. "more than 10" in Feedback. So far, in limited testing, this seems fixed.

Not fixed yet:

* Typing "taiwan" doesn't find the flag of taiwan in the emoji picker (fine on iOS)

* Shortcut action to delete a Photo album fails with an error

* Siri isn't able to tell me my battery charge percentage

* Notification settings for Weather (open Weather, open its settings, click the Notifications tab) fails as the app isn't registered on MacOS as having notifications. This could be true, but if so the Weather / Settings text needs to be changed

I have other bugs, which I've not tested yet, but relate to Siri so I'll test on iOS 27 DB5 once that's finished updating.

Maybe for Settings too...? Seems different to my eyes. Maybe a little more icon refinement overall?
Yes, the 'front' cog has more transparency and the teeth are longer. The Safari compass has few points around the dial.

And all the icons have a greater sense of 3D due to changes in the refraction around the top edge and sides. They appear more Aqua-like, dense if that makes sense.

Oh well...
With the full onstaller in the Applications folder and a 32GB USB disk named Untitled attached, run this Terminal code to make a USB installer disk
Code:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 27\ Golden\ Gate\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled
Use that to install Beta 5
Worked for me.

On my 14"... Only has 64GB RAM, but this is using nowhere even close. Activity Monitor reported 18GB/64GB in use. Haven't had this happen before beta 5.

Edit: Never mind, I feel stupid. A piece of software I'm developing was running in the background and eating up an increasing amount of memory. That's one way to find a memory leak! Beta 5 is cleared...

Weird it works for me...

Thanks for checking. It's not worked for me for a while - I was wondering why Apple was ignoring my feedbacks 😁

I'll have to do some digging ...

EDIT: I created a new user, and it still doesn't work. Very odd.

EDIT2: Apple allows all laptops manufactured in China to be controlled by the Chinese government (in a minor way, but even so). I had to edit the hardware manufactured-in country and now I can access the Taiwan flag.

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist Country TW

I had a bug introduced in DB2 that made my Mac Studio force a low resolution and 60Hz with my 5K2k ultrawide, and it's now finally fixed.

There's a bug in macOS Messages in beta 5 where you can no longer drag arbitrary images into an iMessage conversation with custom backgrounds. Fortunately, Messages -> Settings has a "Conversation backgrounds" checkbox to work around (really I just use backgrounds to easily identify whole conversations to avoid accidental pastes, so not the end of the world, but how the...?)
