how has macOS 27 been working on the Base M1 models so far? Just got a used 8gb/256 m1 air, curious if the m1 benefits from the speed boost they are advertising on this Os

I have a M1 Max so not base, but it runs just ok. Still buggy, I recommend waiting.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but I noticed that Notes upon opening, forgets if you have dragged the list column wider to its maximum width which also widens the sidebar column (which retains the set width). I noticed this since B5. If I just close the window instead of quit the application, it retains the set width, but upon quitting, once opened again it forgets and sets back to the skinny default. Reproducible. Reported.
not happening here. perhaps try this in a 'test' admin account...?

My Public beta latest update says Beta 4, I thought it was only 1 version behind the Dev one?
Download the latest Beta 6 installer from the Mr. Macintosh site, and make a USB install disk.

Once the full installer is in the /Applications folder, use this Terminal command to make the USB installer disk (requires a 32GB USB disk named Untitled to be mounted).
Code:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 27\ Golden\ Gate\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled

^^^^Nope -

The latest version of the PUBLIC Beta is indeed labeled as Beta 4. Build 26A5416b

The latest version of the DEVELOPER Beta is Beta 6. Build 26A5416b

Yes, they are the same.
