I had that issue specifically in the TV App, but appears to be fixed in Beta 3.is anyone full screen, & minimize not working?
Here we go again. Not for me here in Brasilia...maybe I can blame it on Halland😡😡
You might have some VPNs or network filters enabled in Settings. Going to Network -> VPN & Filters and then disabling everything under Filters & Proxies made Steam work for me.The update broke Steam on Crossover and Diablo 4 using Battle.net. Oh well.
Thanks! It was the Lulu app blocking Steam for me.You might have some VPNs or network filters enabled in Settings. Going to Network -> VPN & Filters and then disabling everything under Filters & Proxies made Steam work for me.
Before the usual apologist list of "none of these for me" / "it's perfect" / "bEsT bEtA eVeR" responses - the whole point and the whole concern is how random, janky and unpredictable the whole thing has become, with it being a total roll of the dice from one beta to the next, or even from public release patch to patch. It's just a trash fire of "cross your fingers and hope" at every update and now we're 3 releases in, unfortunately it's become clear that the '27 beta shows no signs of improvement there, despite Apple's WWDC promises about a focus on quality.
Still can't mount Macs on local network. Can see the servers/Macs but when trying to mount, says it can't find them. Is this an SMB problem?
This beta broke Time Machine backups for me. Won't unlock the back up disk attached to Mac Studio M1 Ultra. Same in Disk Utility - can't mount the dis (SSD in USB C port). Guessing I'll have to erase the disk and start again, but will report it and see if next update fixes.
Are y'all developers?
I can't believe you are out there mainlining early betas of your OS like this if you're not.
I'm not touching GG until a few public betas in, if at all before release.
People sign up for betas who are not developers hence they tend not to understand the process. Dev beta 1 is a preview, typically 2.3 and 4 is where the plumbing for new features are worked on. This is typically when things break. Beta 5-9 is where focus is on fixes. You only have to look at the last letter in the build number which shows how close it is to a stable release, an a and b is close. Beta two was a g I recall. Beta 3 is a j, further away from being a stable release suggesting they have made a few plumbing changes in this beta. This cycle of a relative stable developer preview followed by problematic early betas with progressively more stable betas post +\- beta 4 has occurred with every beta I have used for the last decade or so.I really don't understand complaining about the supposed jankiness of the beta. To me, the fact that stuff changes from beta to beta - and we're still in Developer beta here not Public - just shows they actually have people working on macOS this time round. Like, of course betas are going to be unpredictable, even compared to other beta periods of previous versions. Everyone has a different use footprint, everyone's going to get affected differently. Come on guys.
I might agree it's worth commenting on or even worrying about if we're into Public beta 8 and stuff is still disappearing and reappearing etc. But even then. What really matters is what the GM is like, and whether it's the usual call of the old wisened greybeard Mac user that remains true: if you want a stable version of the latest macOS, wait until at least a couple major revisions of the GM are out. Now that I think is worth complaining about, but given that Golden Gate is supposed to be a Snow Leopard / Mountain Lion type fix-up release, I am holding back my epic rants, ever the optimistic fool that I am.
Also, really weird that people are experiencing Siri issues - all I had to do was add the Siri app (of which there was only one) to the Dock and it's back, the whole app as in the last two versions. FWIW I did (had to do) a clean install on an APFS volume added to my main drive, and I'm in the UK, two factors I think could go into differences with Siri etc.
I think a lot of commenters here have multiple machines and/or don't really do much on their hardware besides browse the web and what not lol.Are y'all developers?
